Thanks for your comment. I initially thought that as well considering the weird locations I was seeing it. I just hope it stops, I've got a pavered driveway and I hate the oil spots this is putting on them.
Is anyone surprised? Lol
They did have the truck on a lift and had me come out into the garage to talk about it. I didn't see anything in the center of the vehicle that looked like an oil leak. There was still some oil at the screw in the photo above. I went on a trip and didn't drive the truck...
At the dealer this morning. Mechanic said it's grease during manufacturing. He's seen grease sling out when ever they remove the body off the frame.
Who knows.
Coming from a Highlander, I was excited to get back into a truck. I've not been happy with this purchase. I've got some mystery oil leaking from the body panels which I think may be some undercoating, my transmission jerks into gears on cold starts, the AC stutters the engine when the compressor...
I've been finding oil spots on my paver driveway and never thought to consider it was coming from a brand new vehicle. I found oil dripping down from the weirdest location, front passenger side body panels. I suspect that the drivers side also exhibited the same oil stains on my driveway in the...
Anyone have encountered any issues with the dashboard display not turning on?

I plan to. For now I'm using the manual mode to shift on a cold start till the engine gets to operating temp and I'm not experiencing that hard shifting.
I just wanted to follow up and add that I eventually gave in and drilled out the bottom two holes for the rear ARK flaps. I found that the tires would allow much more dirt to kick up behind the flaps since they were closer to the tire. Securing them with the bottom two holes holds the flap as...
I get hard shifts in the lower gears EVERY cold start. The self learning "takes minutes to a few hours" doesn't apply when the car has over 1000 miles on the odometer, you've achieved those "few hours" already and then some. This is an internal issue with the transmission when the vehicle is...
The included bolt threads are strong enough if you're worried. As I mentioned in a previous post, I had to hold one of the rear nuts installing the rears because it caused it to spin with the bolt. Just realize that the heads of the included bolts are flat and fit somewhat flush with the flaps...
My last car was a 2020 Highlanderz and the cars before that never exhibited that type of behavior. If they did, it wasn't noticeable as it is on the 4Runner. It's annoying feeling it engage during traffic stops or being parked.
I wonder if this is an issue with that AC compressor clutch on...
