Interior Fuse Box - Hardwiring Dashcam question

I think I found an acceptable solution. I ended up removing all the support ribs on the portion that covers the fuse box. After that I think there is tiny gap between the fuse taps and the cover, initially I thought I'd end up just routing a hole in the panel, but I think I can live with this.

What tool did you use to cut this?

Just a flat chisel blade X-Acto knife. I was going to clean it up a little but it's functional and I can't see ever really needing to take it off again unless I gotta replace a fuse. Way better than cutting a hole it.

I tapped into the blank bottom right fuse for 12v ignition. Had to do the same cutting to make sure the kick panel was not knocking the tap out. This was for a BantamX IGN input but this thread was helpful. Thank you!

This just reminded me to clean up the bottom of the panel. Looks a little better with a quick sand.
