Today I installed my Vantrue dash cam and the @Dongar Pro adapter. Realizing I had a wide, hooked trim tool saved the day. My fingers got wrecked trying to pull the dome light module out by hand.

With the narrow space behind the front seats, I had a hard time fitting in one of my coolers. I found the RTIC 16qt Road Trip cooler and it fit perfect. Added a custom FurRunner sticker that matches my ride.

Customize it however you want. I didn't want TRD Pro, so she made mine like the 2025 Limited. Customize how many dogs, your license plate and state. It was $12 after all the customizations.

Nothing major but put on the TRD metal skid plate! Took 10 minutes and you use the same bolts, no issues at all.

Got this idea from an earlier post but had to share. Install took about 10 min.

No real passenger leg clearance issues. Got sick of driving around with this Yeti btwn my legs.

Added @SXTH Element Trail Pipe. Replaces stock resonator and tailpipe that was a major concern on steep departures. Very subtle, slightly deeper tone on cold start and acceleration. More importantly, absolutely zero drone or low frequency resonance in the 1500-2000 RPM range that I experienced with the AWE OFG cat back because it retains the stock muffler. Tailpipe is no longer an issue - love it!

Hey Travis! I was wondering how things were going with you. I think you’ll like this…a subtle note, tail pipe is tucked away and none of the resonance. Let me know if you go this route. I’d be interested to hear your thoughts on it. Next project is the spare…I’ve been dragging it. lol… always something when you go down the mod rabbit hole.

RCI Skid and Wescott tow hooks. Super easy install. Made sure to coat the bolts with anti seize. I learned the hard way on my 4th gen not doing that. For those with a limited the first pic is showing the open space between the skid and the front clip. This is a lot less open space compared to the 5th gen limited. I removed the chin piece within the first hour of ownership.

Did my 3rd oil change at 2500mi. Next will be at 5k and then every 5k thereafter.

This time I also replaced the filter and switched from Valvoline R&P 0W-20 to VRP 5W-30.

I received and installed the Greenlane Timberframe platform system today. Very pleased with how each piece comes together to form a very cohesive and secure unit. The hex plywood offers a great finish and look compared to standard plywood. One factor that sold me on the Timberframe is the ability to remove the front platform and support which enables the use of the rear seats while still using the platform in the cargo area. Greenlane advertises the Timberframe as a platform for sleeping and organizing gear. Being a little over 6' tall, I was skeptical whether there was room both vertically and horizontally for someone my size to sleep, and I confidently attest there is indeed room. Very pleased with Greenlane as a company as they were very responsive and timely to every question.

Installed the Hella horns via amazon. Literally one of the easiest mods I’ve done in a long time. After getting the link to amazon here (sorry… can’t find the original post… but thank you!) HELLA 012010901 Black 12V BX Trumpet Horn Kit (Toyota) https://a.co/d/03JrrQh5

and less than like 12 hour delivery (crazy)… I replaced the anemic OEM horns with these.

I read posts where the horns would stop because of the ground. Taking this into account, I sanded off the paint on the horn mount and where it mounts to the truck. Put some Super Lube between the horn and vehicle mount and I should be good. Really… if I didn’t sand the paint this would have taken about 10 minutes.

It sounds like a 5th gen… and that’s good compared to the 6th gen OEM. I was tempted to put my Hella horns I took off my STI… they would have worked just as easily… but they freak out my Golden so they will stay in their box.

Awesome forum. I’ve been a member of T4R for decades and at times there can be noise that doesn’t need to happen (no where near Tacoma World…) and it’s a nice change.
