Definitely not the case in my ORP, the sub and doors are putting out good low end here.
How much sound do you get when you fade all the sound to the rear? I have to turn the volume WAAAAY up to hear it much, and there's not much bass to speak of.

Rear doors work fine.
Don't know what they did to diagnose the problem .
My rear doors play but the bass is non-existent. The subwoofer is barely audible & I'm not even sure it's actually playing at all because of the rear doors playing.
At least I know I'm not the only one with the problem.
When I bought 7 months ago all speakers were working. At some point the bass in the rear just crapped out.

I got sport prem. The rear sub is really low but it does play. Rear doors sound fine base isn’t that good. But tbh I think it’s working as it should. I don’t expect anything crazy from a factory upgraded audio system specially sub. Other than the rattling I had by the drivers door audio seems fine. Now we also got a 25 Camry with JBL and it blows the JBL in the 4Runner away….

Just went out and tested it a bit more. This is what mine does. Pretty much no bass at all from behind the front seats. The dedicated subwoofer is barely making a peep, much less a rumble. The rear doors and/or hatch speakers sound awful and I have to turn the volume up past 40-45 just to hear them.

I'm not buying that it is working as it should. When I bought mine the bass was kickin` throughout the interior. Now all I hear is bass in the front.
Brian Day said earlier in this thread that his dealership ordered a new amp for his. I wonder if that is the necessary fix.

Could be broken. In order for me to hear any base from the sub I have to stick my head up to it but I dunno if that is a suppose to be low on purpose I didn’t design the jbl system it def isn’t gonna sound like my 10inch sub/amp I had in my 5th gen. Regardless the base sounds fine so it’s doing something maybe? Good luck sucks to go back to the dealer :( I’ve been like 6 times since March

Hi all,

TRD Sport Premium. There is NO bass coming out of the rear subwoofer & NO bass coming from the rear door speakers. I've checked all audio settings & all is as its supposed to be. Anyone out there having this problem & have any easy suggestions of how to fix it?

Thanks!
What is the source audio that you're playing to test? Have you tried playing a test audio designed to exercise all the frequency ranges?

I found the sub. Pretty wimpy in size. Now I have to check performance.

I’ve noticed the sub really doesn’t start to get more noticeable until I have the volume up quite a bit.

I've tried FM radio & Spotify via Bluetooth as that's what I have available to me. Both sources are the same result. It's like only the bass in the rear door speakers and subwoofer have been filtered out even with the infotainment bass setting maxed out. I can't find any other settings that would be causing this issue.

Geez! 6 times already. What for...brake squealing, missing bolts for the air dam, etc.?

I've moved the fader to total rear, set the least amount of treble and mids, set the bass to max & put the volume at 45. Barely any bass at all...it sounds like the signal is ghosted from the front if that makes sense.

Brakes multiple times, rear spoiler needed replacement it broke, door rattling, and I got to take it in for the rubber sealer on the top roof is not staying sealed down

Yeah that makes sense, sounds like something is wrong for sure then.

Yeah my brakes have the common squeal in reverse. Not sure about my spoiler having a problem yet. Haven't heard any door rattles yet. My rubber channel strips were removed so PPF could be installed up there so I'll have to keep an eye on those rubbers.
I did a roof rail delete on mine (not by choice but because of damages caused from removing the roof rails). To anyone reading this who wants to remove their roof rails, it must be done with the utmost consideration & care because those plastic end caps will break, the seals preventing water ingress will have to be replaced, the gaskets on the long bolts must be replaced also & if the bolt brackets in the roof breaks the only way to repair it is to pull the headliner down which is expensive & risky to do. I wish I had NEVER agreed to remove the roof rails on mine but I was assured that no damages would occur...yeah, right. Now I have no roof rails but it does make my TRD Sport look more sporty in my opinion.
