Does anyone make a truly custom switch with your own artwork? I have two on my Gen 1 4Runner, one that says "Warp Drive" and the other says "Front Machine Gun" (they're really just clickers but still, seems a waste not to put something fun in the Aux locations.)

so after a little more digging and reading the owners manual, I think I figured it out.

The larger connector pigtail, plugs into the engine bay near the front bumper, and handles aux 1 and 2 (4 wires, 1 power and 1 ground for each switch)

the smaller connector pigtail, plugs into either the engine bay (next to the larger) or in the cabin (under the steering wheel area), and handles aux 3 and 4. (2 power wires, 1 common ground, and a white wire that I have no idea does what yet)

to utilize all 4 switches, you only need two of the pig tails, the larger one, and the smaller one. It just depends on where the accessories that you are hooking up are. If they are on the outside of the vehicle, might be more practical to use the engine bay connectors vs the one in the cabin.

...more to come as I learn more.

So for this part: "and a white wire that I have no idea does what yet" - yesterday I used this white wire to power my rear dash cam located in the trunk. I wired it to this white wire thinking it was one of the Aux circuits. It's not, and yet at the same time it is a source of switched 12v power. Meaning with all 4 Aux switches OFF, it still provides 12v when the vehicle is turned on. Bonus 12v power without using one of the Aux circuits I guess...

Edit - In the manual on P481 it does note that the white wire is Aux 5 that uses "power switch on*" instead of one of the Aux circuits. I consider this a huge win. Easy pre-wired switched 12v to power something I never want to switch on or off, without taking up one of the aux switches.

Did anyone get the pigtails with their car or did you have to purchase them?

I got mine from the dealership at purchase. That being said, I had to ask the sales rep to make sure the pigtails were included and they had to go grab them from a different truck.

The sales rep I purchased the car from told me I have to purchase those separately

My pigtails were in boxes in the back of the Trailhunter Now I just need to educate myself further on

A) which of the 4 size fuses/connector are appropriate for which types of accessories
B) If the factory pigtails are adequate or if the Baja upfitter harnesses make more sense (at least if using Baja lights)
C) If want to just forego the prewired aux switches for now and just hook up the unused sPod I have

Seems like the PRO and Trailhunter have the pigtails included.

Anyone with the ORP Max have them included? I don’t have the pigtails so have to order.

TRD ORP. I have the $400 option for the Aux switches but did not receive the pigtails. I plan to make a stink the next time I bring it in for service and hopefully convince them that the pigtails should have been included with the option. Will report back on what they say - unless someone KNOWS (i.e., written description of option) that pigtails are not included.

TRD ORP Max here and I have been causing a stink with the sales rep I worked with, apparently their parts dept filed a warranty claim to get replacement pigtails (i guess the proper process for parts that are missing/broken upon delivery) and received this email as a response from his parts dept manager:

2025 Toyota 4runner What are you using AUX switches for? IMG_0502

They referred me to the manual which also states that the pigtails can be purchased from your Toyota dealer:

2025 Toyota 4runner What are you using AUX switches for? IMG_0501

I also have noticed that most of the people on here saying the wires were included happen to have a TH or PRO, so it makes me wonder if the factory included them in those top tier trims, but maybe the add-on feature was installed port-side or something and ToyotaUS didn’t include them. Who knows.

I was an inch away from convincing the sales guy when I took delivery he was “going to go grab them” but they didn’t have any in stock, nor any other 4Runners on the lot with the Aux package, otherwise I think he would’ve just handed them over.

Super frustrated either way because it’s an accessory we paid for that can’t be used as delivered, they should just come with the thing we bought. I’m still trying to convince him to comp. me the wires after buying this expensive of a car so we’ll see what he says. End of the day at least I got the parts #s but NOT COOL TOYOTA.
