It may go away or it may not. Mine still does it at 10,500 miles. One single slightly-hard shift between first and second and then it won't do it again until the next morning.
I also have the clunky shifting feeling mentioned a couple of times in this thread while semi-hard braking. Not...
Thanks for the write up OP, it’s a bitch to spend $200 on some plastic and LEDs that the vehicle should’ve come with anyways, but wow they make a huge difference. Also, I found where the air compressor was hiding in the process.
They are definitely loud but I only really notice when I'm going through a parking lot or something. Otherwise my music and the road/rain noise is enough that I don't notice.
Do you know much about what went into the relocation? I just installed the ADGU drawers and while it's possible to access the compressor it's very far from ideal. That seems like a really good spot to relocate it to. The other spot I was thinking is the horizontal storage compartment right...
Since RokBlokz installed them for me I'm not 100% certain but it seems like they just use the same mounting points as the OEM flaps. And checking the product descriptions for their tacoma flaps that seems to be the case there. To Nodak's question they do appear to extend low enough to protect...
Yes, it’s this product:

They make a world of difference getting in and out with the oem rock rails. Adds some functionality without making the weight compromise that comes with most aftermarket steps. Love them.
I loaned Rokblokz my Trailhunter so they could take their measurements to start making mudflaps for them. Got it back in 36 hours with a free set of flaps, a t shirt, and a 4Runner that was much cleaner than it was when I dropped it off.
The OEM flaps didn’t really have the right geometry to...
Stock Trailhunter, mostly 91 octane but some 88 as well, elevation average about 5k feet. The city/highway percentages can be ignored, I don't use the slider on fuelly. Most of my driving is interstate.
It really bothered me at first and I was driving with the second row folded almost exclusively. The digital rearview felt weird because my eyes had to adjust from focusing far on what's ahead of me to focusing close on the digital rearview. But over time I've gotten used to it and actually...

I bought a pair of these to make it easier to use the sliders as a step. I thought about just replacing the sliders with a set that has more of a kick out or flat surface to step on but decided to just save the money for now. They...
Just as a note to anybody doing this, I discovered the bronze paint on the letters is not very chemically resistant. The solvent I was using to remove the adhesive residue wore through the paint in a couple spots before I realized what was happening and stopped using it. So use something gentle...
Thank you so much for posting this, my Everest trailhunter also has the black reflective letters, and I’ve wondered from day one if they were just caps over the bronze letters, but was never brave enough to start prying and popping. The bronze letters look so much better, those caps are coming...
Do you mind sharing who did your PPF and how much it cost? Luxe quoted me at $11k. Do the pinstripes remain visible after washing or do they heal in the sun? I’ve got some scratches from tree branches that went right through my clear coat already.
