considering how expensive service is now ,I think that’s just a piece of mind to have EW protection. . I haven’t pick up my Platinum yet but i will def get an EW. I figured , if I can get 8-10 years of peace of mind for the price of my monthly salary , why not get that insuranceI'm being offered a Platinum Warranty, 10 Year/125k/$0 Deductible for $3536.21. Is this a reasonable price?
DM'ing you.@Zenyx would you mind sharing the contact info for the person who gave you these prices?

I bet a radio replacement in 2025 model would cost close to $2000 for parts and labour. For a crazy point of reference, I paid $2300 in 2014 for a 7 yr, 125k warranty. I used it once for a $140 fuel tube leak. Cost me $50 deductible. A complete waste of money.
Save and invest your own money during the warranty years, Then, use it as needed
Toyota seems to sell on its reliable history, or does it????
That’s been my opinion all of my life, too. Until this year. You don’t need the warranty. This is why you buy a Toyota. If it’s a lemon, they still hold their value and take your chances on a new replacement and trade it in

He does note that if you buy any Toyota plan from another dealer, he's unable to sell them. Not sure if that applies to refunding a plan purchased and then working with him or not.
Also, the plans can be purchased at any time before 3yrs/36k miles. I've looked at the price history and these have been his prices for the last 3-4 years.
I got the Platinum plan for my Supra and I used it once for a faulty mirror that was past the factory warranty period. Not sure how much it would be but parts and labor and the $400 they quoted me just to figure out what I told them was wrong saved me from paying a bunch I'm sure. I figured there would be some BMW electrical issues at some point. Not sure if its been completely worth it as it was only used once but it is transferrable and I should get some of the money back when I finally trade in when my 4Runner actually comes in. Might look into this deal with what yall posted. Its not a bad price and could save with all the electrical thats in these cars nowThat’s been my opinion all of my life, too. Until this year.
Cars and trucks have way too many computers, sensors and displays. $1360 is pretty cheap insurance compared to the cost of parts.
If I never use the Platinum plan, but decide to sell the vehicle, it is transferable. That will help seal a deal.
