285/70/17 tires (Nitto Terra Grappler) are largest / biggest tire that fit on stock SR5 wheels with no lift. No rubbing at all. This one's not mine, but good to see!

And here's another 33" tire - 285/70R17 installed on factory SR5 wheels without lift kit.

This is basically the setup I want to do to mine. Thinking about doing a leveling kit rather than. A lift kit tho. I completely understand why people would lift it, I just personally think it would look great with a leveling kit

I wonder how the road noise and behavior over bumps and potholes would be with this tire upgrade. I like the looks but want the best ride on our crappy roads.

I put the Mickey Thompson 285/65/18 E load rating tires on mine. The road noise difference was not even noticeable. It has a slightly rougher ride but very minor difference. any upgraded C load rating in my opinion would have basically no difference in ride comfort.

285/70/17 looks really good on the White SR5! I'm planning to do the same setup real soon. What did you end up doing with the spare tire?

These just arrived. Waiting on the Readylift level kit to arrive now.

Looking good! I had these on my Ram 1500, handled great in snow and those rugged sidewalls were clean. Planning to throw these on when I get my first 4Runner, hopefully an Ice Cap 6th Gen!??

Looks rad! Pretty crazy that on my 2015 I had to lift it 3" to fit the same size tire (285/70/17)

I also just put 285/70/r17 tires on my stock height and rim SR5. No rubbing at all and rides smooth. Let me know if anyone has questions.

What tires are those? Also, have you noticed any hit on mpg numbers? Just curious since you have the air dams off too. This is kinda how I want to run mine.

There Falken Wildpeak 285/70/17 load Range E. Got them slightly used on Facebook. Haven’t noticed much in mpg but I also went into it knowing I’m not gonna get great gas mileage so I try not to pay attention to it lol. More about the smiles per gallon for me. I took the air dam off right away but I did a roadtrip to Omaha from Minnesota and think I was getting around 20mpg without the air dam on stock tires. Just checked today after bigger tires for a few days and it’s sitting around 18.5mpg but mostly city driving.
