  1. Brakes squeal horribly backing out of driveway each day

It’s the front only. We brought the service bulletin to our dealer from Toyota and they ordered the parts and fixed the front brakes last month and now it’s gone.
  2. Factory Backup Camera is horrible

Mine is the base SR5 nothing but a reverse camera. The blue solid lines are rock solid but if I follow the yellow lines that curve, I will take out the cars next to me. Could be my tires and lift but I doubt it.
  3. Factory Backup Camera is horrible

Curious if anyone else feels the same but I just cant get over how terrible this new "fish eye" lens is when using the back up camera. The yellow curved line is also just terrible and not very accurate. When I try to back into a parking lot it looks as if you are hitting the vehicle next to you...
  4. Underground SR5 on 2.5" ReadyLift lift kit, Method 703 +0 offset and Nitto Recon Grappler 285/70/17

I have not switched it out but that is a concern for sure. I would research the largest tire size that will fit
  5. 3.5" inch RC suspension lift. 285/70/17 AT3 Tires. 17" Black Rhino Raid Wheels on 2025 4Runner SR5

No I got the problem taken care of. I found a tire guy with the best balance machine available and he got the tires right
  6. Explain like I am 5 - Offset/Scrub Radius and suspension wear

I went with 0 offset and I poke out about 2 inches. I’m sure it will be harder on my suspension parts but that’s a conscious decision on my part. My tires are 33x18 and the look works for me but I did put a level kit on because I would have rubbed for sure.
  7. Method wheels ordered but they sent wrong lug nut size

I wish I knew the answer to that but the shop I initially used had a garbage wheel balance machine and they tried 3 times to get them balanced but when they couldn’t they blamed method and claimed the wheels were bad. I went to a shop with a better machine as well as better wheel guys and they...
  8. Toytec Spacer Lift Kit (2.5"), Method Wheels (703) +35 offset, General Grabber A/TX (35x12.5x17)

Looks great but for me personally I’d flip those tires lol
  9. Method 703s cant balance properly

Yes and his balance machine was a $45k investment vs the 8K machine the other company was using
  10. Method 703s cant balance properly

Looks like the problem is fixed. It was the installer. Apparently he has a lousy wheel guy and the machine they use was subpar. I found a guy with the latest Hunter system and he showed me all the weights he had to take off from the previous shop. Truck is smooth on hwy now.
  11. Brakes squeal horribly backing out of driveway each day

We drove an FJ cruiser for 18 years and every day the brakes squealed while backing out of driveway each morning. Our new 4Runner does it as well
  12. Real World MPG by Owners (gas non-hybrid 4Runner) - Post Yours ⛽️

Serious question but is it possible to get better mpg than the company advertised?
  13. Wheels & tires upgrade on Hybrid ORP recommendations? Which of these wheels and tires?

I do not recommend a 0 or negative offset unless you want an aggressive poke. I went with 0 offset Method 703's and they are about 2-3" outside the fender flares. I also have the 2.5 collar lift and I have a slight rub at full lock in reverse. Im actually looking to sell my wheels and go with a...
  14. Method 703s cant balance properly

After 3 trips to the shop we just cant seem to get the new Method/Nitto tires and wheels balanced properly. Its fine in city driving but any highway use we get a vibration above 65mph. The shop who specializes in off road vehicles and lifts that we have been using for 10 years told us after the...
  15. Real World MPG by Owners (gas non-hybrid 4Runner) - Post Yours ⛽️

I have noticed over the years with all the vehicles I have lifted, that aerodynamics had the biggest impact. The tires alone didn’t impact as much but the lift created so much drag and brought the mpg down much more
  16. Real World MPG by Owners (gas non-hybrid 4Runner) - Post Yours ⛽️

Still averaging 19.3 mpg in mostly city. After lifting it and going up in tires size I’m happy with that
  17. 400 mile trip across Florida

We have had them on for a few weeks now and getting them balanced has been a chore so far. Picking up a vibration around 70 mph but other than that they are smooth.
  18. Stock SR5 on +25 offset wheels and 285/70R17 Wildpeak AT4W tires - no lift, no rub

I have same size tires and a 2.5” lift up front and I get a slight rub at full lock in reverse. Could be my 0 offset but that is not super aggressive
  19. 3.5" inch RC suspension lift. 285/70/17 AT3 Tires. 17" Black Rhino Raid Wheels on 2025 4Runner SR5

I drove mine about a month / 500 miles before I switched out the tires and wheels and added the 2.5 lift. It lost a little handling on the highway like all lifts I have ever done (can’t take high speed turns as fast) but steering is 100% the same. Bumps are more noticeable for sure
