So Toyota made a 6thGen design change regarding the starter on the 2026 hybrid models? Sounds like the 2026 hybrid model is slightly different from the 2025 model. Good to know, thanks!

Thanks for letting us know, but I'm confused. Are they saying it is only supported for 2025 or it just incorrectly shows not compatible for 2026+?

I believe they are saying their product will not work on a 2026+ iforce max hybrid 4Runner. But that it will work on a 2025 model (which it does).

Here’s more follow up from 4122:

The 2026 hybrid integrates it's start circuit into the electronics so there's no conventional starter relay which is replaceable (which our Kill Switch system requires).

I am using the remote kit but I also have a KC power plate installed in my engine bay that runs power up from the starter battery. So it was super easy to install. You might be able to hook it up and power it off of one of your pigtails. They told me there’s a way to do that.

No, when I bought it it was for the hybrid. Despite my email exchange with them their website still appears to incorrectly state that it doesn’t work on a 2025 hybrid. I would suggest you email them.
