Yeah I did the Amsoil myself I do it when ever I think it needs it. Park your truck on a tarp since it does make a mess of your drive way if you don't lol... The Front is A total Chaos kit while the rear is JD fab SUA that's been modified a bit...

That is set at 2.5" one down will get you at 2.25". 2.5" should sit almost level with the Dobinson's I used so either one depending on your taste... Hope that helps

I would say 24 hours on a hot day but it keeps setting up over time.

I am on stock UCA's this is kind of a one and done as you have to pull them apart to adjust them... The lowest these will go is 1.75" and they would probably be a rough ride as they would be right on the external bump stops...

I thought for sure I read something about requiring UCAs for anything over 2” but I could be mistaken

Maybe I drive crazy but even at 2.25" I feel that it contacts the front bump stops a bit early. Honestly If I had set them at 2.5" they would be about perfect in my opinion I just think 2.00" would really ride the bump stops...

So far just the above I will probably order the sway bar and brake spacers. Oddly the ARBs part #s for these show they fit the Landcruiser only but I assume they are compatible being they are close to the same platform...

Thanks for posting this, I am probably going to do the same lift as you with the Dobinsons springs as well, but I wanted to clarify one thing on the geometry:

Wouldn't a higher circlip setting (e.g., 2.5", nearer the top of the shock) cause more preload to the spring and create a rougher ride? You get a taller ride height because the spring is compressed tighter against the perch at rest. While lifting it higher gives the frame more physical clearance away from the bump stops, you sacrifice downward droop travel, and the preloaded spring requires a lot more initial force to move.

Not sure how crazy you mean when you say you drive crazy , but are you sure you're actually bottoming out against the physical rubber bump stop and not just feeling that harshness from increased spring preload and compression damping over sharp hits?

It's 100% hitting the bump stops !! I can see it on the shock shafts as they are totally clean after a spirited run... lol If i did this again I would still have set them 1 notch higher. I don't think 1/4" preload would be that much difference in ride quality if any considering where these shocks are designed to ride as in height...

This is my wife's Runner so she is more than happy with it's current set up but coming from my other truck I just feel like it could be a tad better.... lol
