Air dam removed, 275/60r20 AT tires, running 93 octane, averaging 19 mpg. Work from home, so 90% putting around town and mostly stop and go.

With all my accessories I can say easily add on around 300 lbs I was able to get 31.1 MPG on my Trail Hunter from Beverly Hills to Huntington Beach 40 miles on the highway and 7 miles city road. All original parts, no mechanical or anything modification.

It is imperial lol. I live in CALIFORNIA and trust me the first 15 miles on highway was traffic bumper to bumper but after that 15 miles it was smooth sailing at around 72-75 mph. I monitor the MPG during the trip yes it moved from 21 and creeping to 31 by the time I made to my destination of 47 miles.

I am not sure what is the Freedom unit haha. But shit me not I was surprised when I saw my TH got to 31.1 mpg on my way to Huntington Beach from LA. 47 miles distance. Again my TH is all original accept accessories and that can easily added on 300 lbs.

lol. You just answer your own question there. That is a lots of weight first of all and with all those mechanical modifications that Toyota did not use during the process of testing their vehicle from the first place 😂😂😂.

Especially anytime you are messing around with mechanical modifications even just minor you will change the entire aerodynamic of the car. Big tires, lifts and so on are major modifications. Not to mention how the electronics system and so will handle it in the long run. I talked to a lots of people who did major modifications and their responses are always the same. Issues are and will began to show up soon or later.

I dont know about that. Im coming from a Gen 5 fully modded for MOAB crawling with more then 200,000 of hard off road use and not 1 single electrical or mechanical issue ever arose. FJ before that whom my friend built with over 300,000 km and same thing, no electrical or mechanical issues beyond standard wear from milage.

Also, Toyota specifically designed the Gen 6 taking into consideration that the 4runner is a heavily modded vehicle in their line up. They specifically designed the suspension to allow up to 2.5” without control arm changes and ball joint stress, they pre wired AUX systems to allow electrical upgrades and mods with their own factory fuse points and relays, they added factory threads for factory rock sliders ment for adding steel to the rig etc…

Im coming from experience here and i got to say, iv never had issues with any of my toyota rigs after mods, ever, and this Gen 6 i suspect will be no different.
