Socal speed limit is the speed of the car in front of you . I remember during COVID looking down and be like oh shit I'm doing triple digits.

I lived in Lakeside and was stationed on the amphib base (Coronado). I could do that 30-ish miles in 20 minutes most mornings. Afternoons was over an hour to get home though LOL

16000 miles on the truck now and since getting back from my trip to NY, pretty consistently sitting at 18.5 average. Which with 50 pound E load tires and Austin traffic, I am fine with.

First round trip this morning, 45 miles one way. Some stop and go street driving, a 55 mph section in the middle, and then 40-45 mph run fok5owed by a short highway shot and then back. Averaged 22.6 mpg according to the OBC. Also found my speedometer is dead on to maybe slightly one mph fast. I'm impresswd. At 55-60 mph even, the engine will turn off occasionally.

Still in the 20's consistently mix of city/highway. I found using cruise control mostly keeps the mpg up. No cruise my foot tends to drop the mpg

I am starting to wonder if there is something wrong with my vehicle. I am no longer getting close to what I had previously got MPG wise.

I have not made any real changes, the roof rack, removal of air dam and the skid plates have all been on from pretty close to beginning. I would get low 20s unless I had the tent on but now its been dropping. Even with the tent I had got 18-19 now last two tanks are in the 16 range and that is without the tent.

Stock Trailhunter. A week and a half in, 22.9 mpg according to the OBC. Two tanks and calculated mpg is within 0.1 mpg of the OBC.

Interestingly, my speedometer is +1/-0 mph of GPS speed, probably closer to within 0.5 mph.

We are lifted 3” and are running 285/75/R17 Toyo Opencountry AT3 Eply tires @37psi

Most tanks are between 20.5-21.5 mpg in day to day hustle. Stoch TH with awfully worn tires..
