I read from a thread on Reddit that the hybrid systems can get some odd drone while driving due to switching between the hybrid and gas motor. Do y'all have any clips of that while driving, or heard any feedback?

I have installed my awe exhaust. It was pretty straight forward. I will get a video uploaded with the sound. Especially a cold start it sounds amazing. I also did the deposit for the OTT downpipe so I can’t wait to get it. I will get a video uploaded hopefully today. With mine being a hybrid I wouldn’t say there is a drone sound I would say every time going from battery to engine the sound is very abrupt due to the engine startup rpms. It does go away. My wife hated the exhaust at first but now is doesn’t mind it and is used to it as it doesn’t over power the radio.

I think this is a very accurate representation of the characteristics of the platform. It certainly isn't drone they are referencing, just the system transition, which does not happen as often under spirited driving, or extended cruising.

Here is a quick cold start with the awe exhaust. I really like the high exhaust outlet. It’s really looks good tucked underneath. If it sucks please let me know and I will try again.

I've read that OTT's downpipe makes the vehicle very loud. I've been looking forward to this upgrade but not sure I'm into something obnoxiously loud. It would have to be a hell of an increase considering it's that loud

@jrdees916 - I definitely want to hear what it sounds like with the OTT down pipe. Please share again after you add it. I’d like to do both of these mods, but I don’t want it to be too loud. Hopefully, the technology that’s built into the AWE will absorb it pretty well.

That’s what I am hoping for. I have no idea when OTT will be sending me the downpipe. But, for sure I will get give my opinion and sound clips. I wish OTT would give a sound clip or just something to attract more buyers on their product even if the exhaust is stock. OTT for some reason took the post down from this forum

The OTT Tune guy has one coming for his Tacoma and pretty sure it's an OR Trim / Non Hybrid

It will be nice to get so sort of idea and maybe they will be able to squeeze in a dyno on his truck.

Yeah, there was a problem with the ordering process. It wasn’t accepting the address for some reason. Despite sufficient testing of the website’s ordering process, they encountered those problems. I believe I may have been the one to find it. They allowed me to order through a different method. Send an email to their “info” email address if you were not able to order. Solid customer service and support! I couldn’t be happier with how quickly they responded to my report of an issue!

The cold start will always be slightly louder as the system and the technology comes to temperature. We have not seen DP combinations yet, but will be following along closely to hear your feedback.

Any chance of a black tipped exhaust? My AWE Supra and GR Corolla exhausts have black tips, need to keep the tradition going
