Irishman Branch Road (forest service road) Unicoi, TN

Hey guys,

Took my pup on a trail I found on onX. Irishman Branch Road in Unicoi, TN. It’s about 15mins off interstate 26 into Unicoi in Northeast TN. Not a very technical trail by far but some beautiful views from the top. I noticed towards the top several burnt tree trunks and the area opened up a bit. Looks like there may have been a fire up there in the last few years.

I’m still working on figuring out camera mounting solutions, angles, color grading footage, talking to a camera. I recommend speeding up the footage if viewing.

I'll be visiting a cousin that lives nearby there in a few months, so I'm definitely going to check this trail out. Thanks for posting the info!

Does TN require permits for off-road vehicles?

Not that I’m aware of. Check out little mountain road as well, it’s just a bit further down.

Try driving through a bunch of pine trees that are overhanging the trail. Did that in CO, just part of the fun.

Cherokee National Forest is beautiful. For a bit more challenge, less than 1/2 mile down 107 from the Irishman Branch trailhead is the northern start of Dick’s Creek trail. Rated 6 on onX but that is a bit inflated. Fun trail that I’ve run on two occasions that I had the opportunity to be in TN. I recommend it - maybe after getting your feet wet on Irishmen. Pinstriping is likely - same as every other trail I run in the Blue Ridge.
