I have been researching all weekend on getting full front PPF with ceramic coating and window tint for my 26 4Runner TRD Offroad in Heritage Blue. Quotes I have been getting are around the 5K price point for XPEL which seems to be the one everyone goes with. We had a Ceramic Pro shop open up about 6 months ago that is around $4300 for everything but I am skeptical as it has been here for less then 6 months where the other 2 quotes I got for XPEL have been open for years with lots of excellent reviews. Ceramic Pro also does not use XPEL but something called Kavaca

My question is does this seem to be the going rate for what I am wanting done? I drive alot of interstate and am concerned about rock chips so want to do what I can to protect the hood and front bumper area.

I had mine done last December. Went with the Armor Ceramic Coat package (7yr warranty), Full Frontal PPF including fender flares, and the windshield protection film that cost me $2500 here in San Diego after a 10% return customer discount. Ive used them before on my previous car which I had for 6yrs. Never had an issue, did its job saving my paint for sure. I went with another brand for my wifes car 2years ago, not sure if it was xpel, but definitely not doing that again cuz of peeling. Or maybe its an installation issue rather than a product issue. I dont know.

I ended up going with XPEL full front PPF with full body ceramic and 20% Xpel tint for all windows except windshield. A little more then I wanted to pay but this place has been around for years with great reviews. They had a cancellation so got me right in so hope to have it back by the weekend

Excellent choice!
I went the full Xpel route for mine too.

Full front Xpel PPF
Xpel XR Black for all the windows, including the windshield.

Mine included windshield as well but I went with the clear for that and 20% for all other windows.

Thats perfect.

This is the first time I have done a windshield tint. I ended up doing:
  • 55% in the windshield,
  • 20% for the front 2 windows
  • 55% for all the rear glass.

The 20% fronts luckily matched the factory tinted rears with the added 55%.

Half me wishes I did the windshield more clear (like 70%). Every time I drive past a cop, I look in the rear view to see if they will ding me for the front + windshield tint

Haha, I was going to tint the windshield darker and do 15% but the wife will refuse to drive it as my last vehicle she said she couldn’t see at night. Also I don’t need any cops giving me trouble

Great choice man! They stand behind their warranty and will fix things straight away, if needed. Post some pics when you get her back!
