This is exactly the kind of information I was looking for. The #1 takeaway is avoid chemical guys which I already had a feeling about lol so thanks for this
Just like the title asks, what is everyone using to wash your 4Runner after having a ceramic coating done. There’s a lot of marketing out there on what is best. I’ve been looking at Hydro Suds from chemical guys but it’s $18 for a 16 ounce bottle so looking for something a bit cheaper that will...
Haha, I was going to tint the windshield darker and do 15% but the wife will refuse to drive it as my last vehicle she said she couldn’t see at night. Also I don’t need any cops giving me trouble
I ended up going with XPEL full front PPF with full body ceramic and 20% Xpel tint for all windows except windshield. A little more then I wanted to pay but this place has been around for years with great reviews. They had a cancellation so got me right in so hope to have it back by the weekend

Going to call my local dealer and see if they can get them quicker. I work for a Hyundai dealer so typically get 20% off but I’m sure it’s still going to cost a bit more
Absolutely do not go to an automatic car wash, learn from my mistake. I only did it 1 time and it got lots of swirls from the brushes. Like others have stated I would at least do a front package of PPF that does the hood, bumper, fenders and mirror caps.
No problem just thought I’d put it out there before I traded it in. I was never a fan of the predator steps just never got around to taking them off.
Not sure if you are still looking but I was recently rear ended and am trading out of my TRD Sport that has the Predator Steps. I just need to remove them. I am in NW Florida
Thanks for all your reply’s. I should hopefully be taking delivery of a TRD Off-road Premium in Heritage Blue tomorrow. Blue is my favorite color and hopefully it’s not a scratch magnet like my Underground
