I did read the instructions and I've owned plenty of all wether mats for the many vehicles I've owned. I just was not a fan of the quality on these.Did you leave them in there a while? The ones I had did have some curls/creases but they resolved fairly soon once in place. The instructions are clear on that.
The main creases from packaging worked themselves out but the folded over edges on the sides had some creases and hard bends in them that were not going to work themselves out. The door sill coverage area of the mat was so far raised off of the sill on the drivers side. It looked terrible. That wasn't something that wasnt going to get better over time. The passenger mat had a bad bend in the middle of it as well like it was molded wrong in that spot.
