I'd put a sizeable wager on there being a 12v and ground that'll fire that puppy up. That's all I need to find. If I can get a factory connector to pin into, that would just be cake on top of my cake.
That’s my hope as well. If you can get it to turn on we’re in business with some relays and wiring. I’d freaking love an OEM connector though. I made some aux switch harnesses but was able to get pins easily, these look a little crazier though.

I don't even need a relay (I don't think). I have the factory aux switches. So I think that as long as I can get the amp draw, it should be a two-wire solution for me. Unless I'm grossly misreading the aux-switch instructions, which is entirely possible LOL

Got the light bar in today. It's in great shape, but I'm a little disappointed that there's no part number on it LOL

Here are a couple of slightly better pics of the connector.

Nice! What do we think the smaller pins are for? Something with the factory high beam reqs? I figured that would be handled up stream but who knows. What are next steps? We feed this thing 12Vs!?

Not sure. I only had a few minutes to peep it out and two of the small pins have a closed circuit to one of the large posts (with no power to it)...I was just checking for connectivity though. Haven't put 12v to it yet. I don't know when I will either. This month is busy, and I'm absolutely waiting for a warm day LOL

Curious to see what you find out with the OE light bar. I've got the upper and lower grilles ready to go on my SR5, but trying to figure out which direction to go for a light bar. (Also awaiting some warmer weather)

I ordered a connector that I think might be the one, from my local dealer. Should be in early next week. They called about 30 minutes later to ask me what I drove, I told them, and she said that it's listed for a 2024 Tacoma but wasn't sure what part of it LOL. Looks like the same plug on the back of the Tacoma Trailhunter light bar.

Sooo...Fingers crossed. We'll see. Once I confirm it plugs/snaps on there, I'll throw up the part number.

Good news!

It's 100% the correct plug. Snaps right on. No wires or internal connections, just the blank plug that I'll have to figure out how to get the wires pinned into...But that's what I expected for the sub-$15 price point straight from a dealer.

Part Number: 90980-12446

In slightly related news, I asked four people at two dealerships today for a view of the pinout/wiring and they absolutely would NOT share that information.

You know what grinds my gears?

When I buck up and pay for access to the service manual and after a couple of hours of digging around in there...There is no wiring diagram for this part. Or wiring diagrams at all that I've seen.

Man that sucks… is this Toyota’s most guarded secret or something? Feels crazy to even house any of the logic in the bar itself at all.

Another update...LOL

I bought Alldata for a month. So now I can see what the factory connector pins are for...Almost. I don't know all the acronyms for the wire/pin labels.

Things like LBAC, SIN+, SIN-, SWV-, LBB+, LBGD, etc.

Some of it I can figure out contextually, like with the CAN+ and - (CANBUS), as well as the + and - (the pins I ID'd as grounded earlier on the light itself correspond with the "-" on the wiring diagram I now have).

I just don't know what most of them mean.

Oh yeah, and all of Toyota's documentation doesn't call it a light bar. It's legit called something dumb like the Light Emitting Diode Illumination Light. I shit you not LOL

I'm 90% of the way there. I'm REALLY hoping that there's no wizardry/special signal required in the light itself, and I'll be able to just get the right power to it and be in business.

Stay strong, we’re counting on you! Looks like some of the Tundra folks drilled holes and wired straight to the light.

Excellent find!

I spent a couple of hours testing today, and couldn't make that light work using the pins on the back of it. The Tundra guys have had a couple of more years to figure this exact thing out and apparently decided it was too much hassle and just bypassed it. The one dude had a DC testing setup and he couldn't do it. He obviously knows more than me about the electronical wizardry side of the house, so I doubt I'm going to figure it out if he couldn't. I'd like to know how he knew where to drill the hole though LOL

I'll poke around a bit more, but I've already started sourcing the parts to bypass it exactly like those guys did. I need to find the amp/v draw so I can get the right wire size and put it on the right Aux circuit. I also may try to take the light apart to see if I can reroute the wires internally and use the factory connector anyway...Just without all the pins.
