Well, how’s the ride compared to stock?

The ride seems pretty good so far. I noticed the stock TRD Offroad suspension was smooth on the bumps but a little loose on corners at speed. The Radflo's seem a little stiffer in corners at speed but maybe a little less plush on the bumps (at present). Will have to see how they settle in over time.

Those 35s look right at home. Did you have to do any trimming in the front?

Those 35s look right at home. Did you have to do any trimming in the front?

Minor trimming on forward-facing plastic flap behind the wheel well liner where it protrudes into the tire path. This is the most common rub point at full lock. Use a heat gun to soften and a Dremel/reciprocating saw for clean cuts. Also removed factory mud flaps on front wheel wells (kept rear mud flaps).

Very nice build! I'm looking at something similar. Same CBI bumper. Trying to decide what suspension to swap. OME MT64 2135K, ICON 2.5 Stage 8 (as I like the adjustable compression) and I've looked into the RadFlo 2.5. I'll be curious how you like the Radflo's?

I like the Radflo's but I'm not sure I love them. I'm glad I did not go with a spacer lift (as I get the long travel) but the Radflo's are not as plush as I hoped for. Maybe they will open up in time. The stiffness is likely due to the preload and higher spring rate they used to get the lift and handle the weight of winch, bumper, & sliders.

I took my 4Runner up to Yankee Hill this weekend (you can see a YouTube of the trail from a Jeep owner here: ). The trail was washed out a lot from years ago when the youtube was made, so it is a harder trail now. My 4Runner with the lift and 35's had no issues. I see now why they added all the preload and the spring rate as I never scraped the underside on rocks once (unlike my buddy with a Rubicon on 33's who had multiple scrapes). I just wish maybe they had gone with a little less preload and spring rate so the ride was a little softer. But I guess that would mean less lift height and maybe some more scraping the underbody on trails like Yankee Hill!!
