  1. TRD Offroad Build - 2.5" Lift, Radflo Shocks, CBI Covert Front Bumper, Winch, Falken Wildpeak 35x11.5R18

I took my 4Runner up to Yankee Hill this weekend (you can see a YouTube of the trail from a Jeep owner here: ). The trail was washed out a lot from years ago when the youtube was made, so it is a harder trail now. My 4Runner with the lift and 35's had no issues. I see now why they added all the...
  2. TRD Offroad Build - 2.5" Lift, Radflo Shocks, CBI Covert Front Bumper, Winch, Falken Wildpeak 35x11.5R18

I like the Radflo's but I'm not sure I love them. I'm glad I did not go with a spacer lift (as I get the long travel) but the Radflo's are not as plush as I hoped for. Maybe they will open up in time. The stiffness is likely due to the preload and higher spring rate they used to get the lift...
  3. TRD Offroad Build - 2.5" Lift, Radflo Shocks, CBI Covert Front Bumper, Winch, Falken Wildpeak 35x11.5R18

Minor trimming on forward-facing plastic flap behind the wheel well liner where it protrudes into the tire path. This is the most common rub point at full lock. Use a heat gun to soften and a Dremel/reciprocating saw for clean cuts. Also removed factory mud flaps on front wheel wells (kept rear...

  5. TRD Offroad Build - 2.5" Lift, Radflo Shocks, CBI Covert Front Bumper, Winch, Falken Wildpeak 35x11.5R18

The ride seems pretty good so far. I noticed the stock TRD Offroad suspension was smooth on the bumps but a little loose on corners at speed. The Radflo's seem a little stiffer in corners at speed but maybe a little less plush on the bumps (at present). Will have to see how they settle in over time.

  9. Trailhunter 4Runner photos in Utah - first couple times off-road

Nice photos. Great to see you getting into the backcountry with your new 4Runner!
  10. My 2025 ORP on ReadyLift 2.5” lift kit, Icon Alloy Anza Alloy 17x8.5 +25 offsetm 35x11.5R17 Wildpeak AT4W

I love the fact these wheels weight only 27 lbs! I see some 17" offroad wheels around 34 lbs! I see these wheels are on special for $227 each on the ICON website this week. Also those Falken tires are nice, I like that they only weigh 68 lb (instead of some 35's at 76+ lb). You need to keep the...
  11. 3.5" inch RC suspension lift. 285/70/17 AT3 Tires. 17" Black Rhino Raid Wheels on 2025 4Runner SR5

Did you get the C Load or E Load versions of that Toyo 285/70R17 tire? I heard some people say the C Load drives a lot less harsh but you will need the E Load if you are doing HEAVY towing.
  12. Do modifications void Toyota warranty?

It depends. If you put 37 inch tires on and your transmission or engine goes then they probably won't honor the warranty. If something on the electronics goes then they will still warranty it. If you put a puck lift on and the CV joint goes then likely no warranty. If coolant or oil starts...
  13. Visual reminder to oil change during break in (at 1000 miles)

Early oil changes on new engines are only needed if you care about engine longevity. Here is a YouTube that agrees new engines will have many metal filings etc. and you should change oil early on new engines to better protect your investment.
  14. SR5 build: DV8 centric bumper, DV8 roof rack, Radflo 2" shocks lift, 35" Toyo AT3 tires, Black Rhino wheels +35 offset

Looks amazing! I love that you can get a 35x12.5 tire weighing only 59lb! I've heard the C Loads are the way to go (a softer ride on the bumps too). I LOVE the suspension travel you have! Full replacement shocks with longer travel beats a preload collar every time.
  15. 35's Tires (35x12.5R17 Ridge Grappler) and Method 310 Wheels (+35 offset) and Westcott Precollar Lift

I hear you do feel the bumps on the E Load tires! Westcott Designs recommends a C Load tire as they are softer (and less weight). The C loads are harder to find in larger tire sizes (Falken Wildpeak R/T offers a 35x11.5R17 & R18). The E Load will definitely be stronger offroad and less likely to...
  16. Underground SR5 on 2.5" ReadyLift lift kit, Method 703 +0 offset and Nitto Recon Grappler 285/70/17

Yeah I hear many people are running +22mm to +35mm offset to reduce wheel poke. I did not realize that more positive offset = less wheel poke. :)
  17. 35's on stock 2025 4Runner 6th gen w/ no rub (with slight trimming) - 35x12.50r17

Looks like I was overly optimistic :giggle:. I do like the KMC wheels (Forged monoblocks) https://www.kmcwheels.com/kmc-impact-forged-monoblock. These are light (25.1 lb) but cost a bit ($699 each).
