I did a thing. Again.
Traded in the Black SR5 for a White ORP Hybrid. I should have gotten the ORP from the start, but it is what it is.
- Black to white: mainly a cleanliness thing, every little thing popped up on the black.
- Drivetrain: hybrid has more power + torque and better mileage than the gas only. Overall response felt smoother when comparing the two. Easily have another 30 miles per fill so far.
- Conveniences: power liftgate (underestimated the daily value of this with a baby), 360 cameras, heated / ventilated seats, sunroof and audio system
- OEM: Diff Locker, DAC and MTS, not gonna use them everyday but nice to have from factory and cost of labor upgrading was gonna add up
Altogether, got a good trade offer / payoff and much happier with the ORP long term.
Both are great trims, it’s after reevaluating my wants / needs that the ORP was better peace of mind for me and my family.
Now:
Feel free to ask specific questions between my experience running the two trims, happy to answer.
