First-time owner of 4Runner(still waiting for delivery of our Off-Road Premium) and i'm torn if i would buy the extended warranty or not. The dealer is offering 60/100,000 for $2644 Canadian. They said i'm covered for the next 5 years of maintenance, such as oil change and tire rotation. I'm thinking of getting it due to the newly redesigned, but my wife doesn't want it. 
Do NOT get the maintenance coverage. Toyota already includes 2 years of maintenance for FREE. Atleast here in the US. You really aren't save any, if you decide to include it bundled in your financing. Your basically paying interested on maintenance. You are not require to buy the warranty from the dealer you bought the car from. Shop around as dealers markup their extended warranties by over 200%. They may charge $2500 but their cost is nearly $1k. unfortunately the canucks dont follow usa rules for warranty coverage. they dont get the ability to buy one 3/36 miles down the road.
if i remember correctly it has to be bought at time of sale in canada (correct me if i am wrong)
