as "NA" posted above, it doesnt
Right. It comes with a stock-diameter (31.5”) tire on a 17” steel wheel. This must be the difference.

Now to figure out if it’s a programming issue, or if the vehicle is missing the actual hardware to detect the TPMS sensor in the spare position. The digital gauge cluster is the same as the other “premium” trims, so it’s not just a matter of if you have the larger or smaller digital gauge cluster, which is what I suspected before getting my identical spare set up.

For what it’s worth, my 25 has five sensors. It drove a bit rough when I got it so I checked the tire pressure and all five tires were at 50 pounds from the dealer. Morons. I lowered the four on the ground to specs but didn’t feel like crawling underneath to get the spare. It’s still reads 50 pounds.

Also, all of my other vehicles have always automatically reset. I think the sensors just read the pressure in that location, not that particular tire. My other vehicles just take a few miles driving and it will automatically recalibrate. It might show an incorrect pressure at one corner for a few minutes, but it will self correct.

I have 5 sensors now, just only 4 are displayed.

I do think for most rotations it will automatically update. But since I’ll be doing a 5-wheel rotation on something that only appears to register 4 pressures, I may need to register the 5th sensor’s ID every time I do a rotation. Unclear at this point.

yeah the new 4R reads the sensors a lot better. if you sit for about 2-3 mins with the engine in the "ON" position, the display will show the psi of the tires. on my 23 tundra, i have to drive some to get a reading. at least its an upgrade over my 14 4R where i had to actually go out and test each tire manually if they looked weird. :)
