Is it necessary to flip them upside down? and also, i noticed that there are screws that looks like it hold the faceplate of the front, that looks like you can unscrew and flips the faceplate upside down, so when you do flip them upside down, the SAE will be right side up haha.
I think I tried to flip the lens but that did not work I do not remember at this point, but both my have the SAE at the bottom of the light.

I never tried to install them both right side up since the instructions didnt specify it. The factory wiring is setup to connect at the outboard side. There was enough harness from the diode light for either orientation, I believe. Trying to visualize where the wiring would end up if run from center to outboard instead and whether it would interfere with anything near it was not something I wanted to test. You will never really notice they are "upside down" unless the light is off and your face is close enough to read the lettering on the lense. If it is important to you they read correctly then that might be your method of install. May main concern was interference at the time. My realization later was that it is to save cost by only fabricating one type of light, no left or right. Is it a really big problem as far as fit, functionality, and build quality? Not really. Is it possibly confusing when following the instructions and you notice one light upside down? Probably. Not sure if the instructions have been updated since, but I doubt it as a lot of DIY guys just figure it out on their own anyways.

As far as deconstructing and flipping the front bezel, I am not sure if unscrewing those screws is for the actual lense or for the powder coated bezel around it or something else. I remember it looking like an integrated piece, front bezel and lense, so never tried to modify it. I figured the front lense would be bonded to the front bezel in a way that is watertight, so I thought of it like a headlight where it probably wasn't a good idea to try and disassemble it. Don't let me stop you from trying, though! We can always use more data for the aftermarket products.

My previous comment might sound like I had a lot of complaints, but the fogs do work just fine and haven't deteriorated or shifted position in the year or so I've had them installed. They are very well built and the light output is great. I pretty much run them "on" as much as possible, mostly with the auto mode on the headlight stalk and sometimes running parking lights with only the backlight on in traffic. Partially because I think they look cool, a little because it does help having more light output, but mostly because 1) I paid for them and 2) the amount of time I spent installing them. I will probably replace them with OEM rigid fogs if the diodes break in the future unless there is an updated version of the light that has a more factory integrated look and external aiming/adjustment mechanism. I hope to leave my front end as is for awhile though!

Yea I might just end up returning mine. Reason one, my TRD Pro comes with Rigid Fog lights so they connectors are different. They said only the duals weren’t compatible, that was false. I definitely don’t want to splice into my factory wiring to get them to work properly. Also don’t feel like throwing another $600+ for the diode switch. So I’m thinking i’ll just wait til they either come up with an adapter, or refresh the light with tilting mechanisms like the rigids. I honestly wish that it sat inside the actual cutout of the bumper like the Rigids, rather than behind it. But i’m guessing that might make the light itself smaller and less powerful with a smaller projection i’m assuming. But thats just me haha. So for now, i’ll spend my money else where. But I do love the backlighting that it would have gave.

Are these really that much better than the Rigid? I don't know I know they are huge improvement over the stock ones. They are actually in the pros kind of too bright. I have only used them a few times where the stock one I left on all the time, with these I just leave backlight on all the time running off one the Aux switches. I don't see them making a custom one to fit in the whole when this is using the basic light they already have available. The stock ones sat the same behind the opening. I didnt know the Rigid sat on the other side of the hole.

I agree that the factory fog light fit, finish, and adjustability is superior. I didn't realize I cared about these things as much as I do when I first bought my diodes.

One big reason I bought them was for the backlight actually. I wanted them to match my 4Runner trd pro headlights amber DRLs. Having had them for awhile though, I realized I dont use the backlight as much since I leave my headlights on AUTO. They only come on at night/low light since they follow my illuminated emblem, and even then they just turn fully on. I realized I don't care to keep messing with the headlight stalk between parking lights, AUTO, etc.

I was tempted recently as someone is selling their trd pro lights for 200 USD on marketplace near me. They already have a yellow vinyl covering the lense for the yellow output. I might pick them up just in case...

Hope you find something else cool for your truck soon.

I wouldn’t necessarily say they are much better than the rigid. More so of a preference choice. But yea I highly doubt they would make it to fit inside the hole casing vs it being behind the hole. I never realized the standard non rigid fog lights were behind the bumper as you mentioned. But I do hope they at least make an adapter for us TRD Pro owners. I would just prefer the yellow lighting, and amber backlights as my preference.

Well I had fully planned to buy the diode fog, after reading all of this, maybe I'll just leave the OEM fog lights in there. How hard would it be to tap into them with my Switch-Pros system so that I could run white or amber on a Switch-Pros? There is a feature on a Switch-Pros switching system that allows you to have one switch or the other so that would be a way to keep them from being on at the same time. Is that even possible with the OEM wiring? Or could I just bypass the OEM wiring altogether and buy a new harness and make it work myself?
