2025 2026 4runner 6th gen SS6 LED Fog Light Kit | Diode Dynamics oFYybha

Upgrade your Toyota 4Runner with our SS6 LED Fog Light Kit, delivering powerful, road-legal performance and a clean, factory-style appearance. This bolt-on kit mounts a pair of 6-inch Stage Series LED Light Bars using CAD-designed brackets and factory mounting points. No cutting or drilling required! With higher light output, modern optics, and greater intensity than anything else on the market, the new Stage Series Lightbars are the most capable lightbars available today!

2025 2026 4runner 6th gen SS6 LED Fog Light Kit | Diode Dynamics UB5Vp1

Designed for Performance. Each Stage Series Light Bar has been engineered from the ground up with the most modern optical, thermal, and circuit board technologies to provide more output than any other light bar on the market. Unlike reflectors, TIR optics capture and focus nearly all of the light output, shining it only where you need it, without glare or wasted light.

Thanks to copper circuit boards, thermal transfer materials, and optimized heatsinks, these lightbars effectively dissipate heat from the LED chips, allowing them to run at maximum power, producing serious light output.

Functional Beam Patterns. Each beam pattern has been fine-tuned for real-world conditions to perform even better than before.

SAE Fog uses our distinctive FineLine optic, which provides an exceptionally wide pattern. The SAE Fog optic shines with a 90x10 degree pattern to fully illuminate the area directly in front of your vehicle. They are legal for on-road use as fog lights (Please check your local laws and regulations for aiming, installation, and applicability).

Choose Your Power Level. The SS6 LED Light Bar is available in three different power levels. All options use high-intensity, automotive-grade LED emitters and TIR optics for unmatched focus and output. The Sport model offers the best bang for your buck, while the Pro model takes things a step further with a noticeable boost in power. The Max model is designed with cutting-edge automotive emitters for both high power and extreme intensity, using the same Osram HX Boost LEDs found in our Max power level SS3 and C2 2.0 LED Pods.

Amber Backlight. The SS6 LED Light Bars included in this kit come with an integrated amber backlight that fully illuminates the TIR optic, providing distinctive accent lighting and enhanced visibility when parked or stopped on the trail.

White or Yellow. This Stealth LED Light Bar Kit is available in a cool white or selective yellow color. The white is a 6000K color temperature, which is a true cool white output, and matches most factory LED lighting. The selective yellow is a 3000K color temperature, great for high contrast in poor weather or a distinctive look on the road.

I thought the stage series lights could have any color back light. It would be cool to have a 40 inch roof rack light, 20 inch to grill and the fogs all have the same backlight coloring. I guess I read it wrong?

Stage Series Lightbars include an amber-only backlight model and a multi-color backlight model.

However, the SS6 fog lamps are not classified as a lightbar and were separate releases. They are only offered with an amber backlight. Sorry about that!

Thanks for the clarification on the fog lights!

I noticed the smart select feature is not an option on your grille kit. Is it possible to get smart select option on the grill kit?

Hey there!

Have you had a chance to call or email our team directly? If you haven’t received a response, we often find replies can land in spam, so it may be worth checking there as well.

Our phone support is available Monday through Friday, 10–5 PM CST, and most calls are answered within just a few minutes unless we’re experiencing unusually high volume.

White kits have been shipping since release. We’re currently receiving the latest batch of yellow optics, and yellow kit preorders are now beginning to fulfill as inventory arrives.

Had DD Pro fog lights on my Ranger and absolutely loved them. Really want a set for my Limited 4Runner but the install isn’t something I’m confident in doing cleanly while ensuring I don’t mess up the PPF. Any installers here in the San Antonio area that could install the kit?

Just installed these lights and happy with them but have some nitpicks about them and the instruction.

Include a cover for the backlight wire if you don’t plan to use it so you don’t have an open wire connection just handing out. As the next post said if there was an easy way to connect to DRL I would have maybe utilized this. I like him and not up for using t taps on factory wires. I don't want to run them on at all times with inability to turn them off. I have considered connecting them to an aux switch but for how this have shrink fit one the connectors.

The instructions tell you to put the wires to outside of the light. Based on the image I took that as connection need to be towards the outside of light. Doing so it made one of have the writing on lens upside down which looked bad at least to me.

The instructions for the 4runner are basically for a Tacoma so the removal parts are not 100% correct. I ended filling competitors video to the removal process and was able to not remove parts that would have been unnecessarily removed had I followed the instructions. Same for the video part of the removal of the old lights.

One of the last steps in the the instructions is to adjust the lights but they are absolutely unadjustable unless you disassemble everything. Also the link in regards to adjusting the lights is a completely different light and has built in adjustment. Which these do not.

I am wondering if you’re willing to take a couple minutes to edit this post so that we can truly understand exactly what you’re referring to. I’m about to buy these exact lights and put them on my forerunner. By the way I am at the Moore expo in Springfield Missouri today and I will literally be talking to the Diode Dynamics team this afternoon. One of my good buddies works there. So if you can give some really exact feedback I will ensure it gets literally into the hands of their people today

I have installed these on my Tacoma and may be able to chime in a bit.

If you watch the install video on their site or follow the QR code they send you in the package, you find instructions for their old SS6 light kit. These are the ones that dont have the nice lense - they kinda look like they have a blurry lense compared to the crystalline looking lense of the new ones.

First the backlight wire - he's right. They are just bare signal wires hanging off the lights that you have to deal with if not used. For me, and this is my fault, I didnt research enough to understand that you actually need to splice these signal wires in to a fused wire somewhere on your vehicle to receive a power signal if you want to use the backlight. Lucky for me, I have the illuminated emblem so I spliced into that wire harness as it is easily replaceable and fused already. They now follow the emblem in terms of when they are on or off, and i can manually turn them on in parking light mode. This was desirable for me because i wanted the backlight to function with the DRLs, but may not he desirable for some. However, if you do not have something similar you may be splicing into a factory wire loom which is kind of a no-no in my book in case you mess up the splice or pick the wrong wire. The provided taps are T-taps which are just ass in my opinion and am surprised that was the choice of an electronics manufacturer. I ended up using posi-taps instead. Would be nice if there was a wire harness solution like the illuminated emblem that can be plugged into a factory connector somewhere. Or, like my guy was saying, provide a cap or something to protect the bare wires if not used.

He's also talking about where the instructions say to orient the lights so that the wires exit the light towards the outside of the bumper and this makes one light "upside down". The lights are identical so the SAE text on the lense that is able to be read normally from the front of the bumper on one light, you would need to stand on your head to read on the opposite side. Basically, there is no right or left specific light. Not a huge deal but was the first thing I noticed during install, too. A lot of toyota oem stuff has specific left and right hand parts. Entire assemblies are also usually asymetrical to prevent you from installing things incorrectly. For example, the entire front bumper assembly with grille shutter can be disassembled and you could throw everything into a bin. When you come back a week later to put it back together, toyota cleverly designed it so the entire assembly only goes back together one way - including the fog lights. I know because I have done this exact thing three times at this point in my own build. I could damn near start a business with front bumper work on tacomas and 4runners with how fast I've gotten with this. These SS6 fog lights are identical units for both lights, though. I understand this reduces cost to produce and design, but it also introduces the risk of improper installation if one was to try and use the SAE text as a datum for proper orientation, for example. Left and right handed lights would absolve this issue and match oem engineering design philosophy.

The brackets that hold the lights to the front bumper cover assembly are different between the new and old lights. For example, when they say "ensure the lights are sitting as far in x-direction in the bracket as possible" or something like that, this is not recommended for the new light assemblies because if you do this there will be a gap between the lights and the bezel or if too far the other way they'll be pushing against the bezel. You need to put them somewhere in the middle of the bracket slot. I believe you should leave a small space in case you need to adjust them which brings me to the next point about adjusting.

The light bulbs themselves are not adjustable like factory headlights or fog lights with the screw mechanism external to the light housing. If you follow the instructions, the direction is to "not torque the brackets on the lights too tight for adjustment later". This begs the questions then, "how tight is too tight before i cant adjust later? How loose can I really make it so that they aren't vibrating out of position as i drive down the road?" I actually hate this about these lights and I think it's a pretty lazy engineering design and instruction. A little more engineering could have been put into it to come up with an external adjustment system that would make these lights head and shoulders above all others, even if it would come at a cost premium. A specific torque could have been given to prevent over tightening or under tightening. What my guy is saying is true - once you put everything back together you can't get to the bracket to tighten or loosen the screw without taking your entire front bumper apart again. Based on my experience, I made the brackets on the too tight side because I literally had to jam a screwdriver with protective tape on the tip into the light lense edge and basically hammer it to adjust them - i could not adjust by hand easily after install.

The lights themselves are great and the construction is top notch. I have no worries about their longevity. They are obviously an upgrade over OEM in terms of light output, color, and construction. However, they take a step back from the truly integrated design of the OEM lights from an ease of use and adjustability standpoint and could use an update to their installation instructions.

Made some adjustments but if they have questions I will gladly respond. If they don't want it public they can DM me or if they wanted I would even have a phone call to discuss some of things.

I know it would not seem that way based on my post but I have spent years having to write technical instructions for coworkers and I have learned that they need to be written for the lowest level of understanding. The instructions overall get the job done but seemed rushed based on they just used old one for a different vehicle which is not 100% the same.

Thank you guys for both of these responses. I talked to my contact at Diode and he did admit that the instructions are not specifically updated for the 4runner. There was a four Runner on the show floor and I looked at the Diode lenses and both of them were correct, so I don’t know if they flipped one of those lenses or not. He did talk about the left side light or a right side light based upon the info you gave above, but it sounds like they’re both the same. I will try to get some more info from him to post here. Also, I will let him know that a forum member is willing to edit the instructions if they’d be willing to consider that.
