Hey guys, looking for recommendations on a magsafe phone holder. I don't think I want one that is right next to the start button, but also don't want one that is attached to the passenger side center console putting it too far away. What have you guys found / used? I am using a cheap vent mount phone holder which works well but it blocks the view for climate control.

Hey Chad. I know you said you weren't sure about mounting your phone by the start button, but this one is the best out there. I've had it since April and wouldn't want it anywhere else. Easy to see, use, etc. Good luck!

Thanks Zach! I don't know why I am hesitant on that style mount. I just went and held my phone in the position the offroam mount puts it and I guess my worry is that it would block the view of the headunit or be too close to the steering wheel. I'm guessing that isn't something you experience with it?

You're welcome. It doesn't get in the way of really anything and doesn't block the a screen at all. The only thing, is with an iPhone 17 ProMax, when I turn the car off and the steering wheel retracts (I have that setting on), the stalk on the right will sometimes push the phone off the mount. Not a big deal though. Other than that, it is rock solid over any terrain.

@alldogsoffroad. The two mounts mentioned here are in my opinion the best mounts for the Runner.

If these do not meet your needs, ProClip mounts are also top notch. I have this installed in my Toyota Prius.
