Oddly in a position for the first time looking at the runner from an overhead view. Noticed the weather stripping chipped and it’s hard to see but there is a thumb sized dent. Thinking the port dropped the roof rack while installing it or something.

Darn! unfortunately once you sign that piece of paper at the dealer it's so hard to get them to take accountability...

Looks like the spot that is circled is as well on the edge in two spots

Darn! unfortunately once you sign that piece of paper at the dealer it's so hard to get them to take accountability...
Yeah nearly impossible to inspect the entire thing at the dealer.

Yes indeed. My wife noticed the clear protective film on the lower rear fender had a small corner peeled that caught dust inside.
The did us right and had it replaced a few weeks later.
In your case that is a clear damage prior to you so hopefully your sales rep. has enough pull to get it remediated.

I'll own that it's been 4 months since taking delivery and I'm just now noticing. I know for sure nothing has hit it since I've owned it.

Never complete your customer satisfaction sales survey until the dealer has resolved all issues. You have 20 days from when you receive it, until it expires and you can't complete it anymore (according to Toyota), so put them on the clock the second you notice anything like this.

Those satisfaction surveys are your last opportunity at leverage with the dealer.
