Platinum allocations increasing

Question if none of us have heard anything from our dealers about delivery or even a build date, but if we should get a build date let's say for October meaning most likely a delivery date in December it would be a month old as soon as we get it. That being said when do we say no and only except a 26? Does anyone have an idea when the Tahara plant will switch production to 26 models with release of new colors possibly.

should happen soon, August or September. pretty much about 3/4 of the toyota models have switched to 26 allocations already

but i imagine those are usa assembled models, japan assembled models usually lag changeovers

Most of us are Toyota 'fan boys' if you are on this forum, me included. I love Toyota. But to be in August of a calendar year and only have 98 Platinums produced really is inexcusable. Full stop.

Yeah its pretty wild! Curious to see how the numbers go over the next few months to finish the year seeing that it seems overall production is ramping up based on latest sales data.

I've been on a hunt for the unicorn Black Platinum so keeping my fingers crossed more show up in allocation soon!

There is a Black Platinum at Fredericksburg (Sheehy) Toyota in VA.

They claim it’s sold. Trust me I’ve talked to every dealer with a black allocation more than once lol. Only ones not sold at the moment are the few that have $5k markups.

well you have to remember, they didnt start with a normal MY start that was suppose to normally start in oct, but they delayed it until feb-2025 instead of oct-2024 and subsequently didnt start production rouhgly 4-5 months behind where they should have been.

if they would have had production start in aug-sep like they should have had, we would be maybe in the meat of production models being available.

I do understand that they delayed production from October until February, but at the end of the day doesn't that fall back on Toyota?

Are you thinking about just getting a 26 Platinum? If I were searching for a Platinum right now, I would give it serious consideration.

25's are still being produced so i cant change my allocation reserve request until they change over to 26's which will be probably mid/late august or september

just dont get your heart set on red platinum, from what i have been tracking since feb-2025, the usa availability for platinum's on avg per week has been ...

red 2-3
blue around 12,
cutting edge, underground, black around 20
white around 25

and i have been waiting since dec-2024, thats when i put in my allocation reserve request in

i did change some PIO options last week to add, D pillar lights and 3 yrs extra remote connect sub

should still be able to keep invoice under $61k still
