OEM Screen Protector, Application Method

Does anybody have suggestions on the best way to install the OEM screen protector (Part Number: PT976-35241)? I was thinking of using a soapy solution to get it into the desired position and then squeegee out the solution. But the install directions don't state that. That's how I've installed film in the past (on my mountain bikes).

I took mine to the dealer and had them do the installation. When Julie took hers they wouldn't do the installation. I dropped by the dealer to ask why the change of heart and they said they did an installation for another customer who wasn't pleased (Go Figure) and was wanting it removed and a refund for the part, so they decided not to install them going forward. I asked if I had been a pain in the ass and was told absolutely not. Julie took her vehicle back and they installed hers. I haven't an idea what the problem was with the customer who wasn't pleased, but we had 3 installed without issue?

Like everything it has to make money, in my opinion screen protectors on anything are a time consuming PITA. Which may be what is behing this.

personally unless you do a PIO order on the oem screen protector, i would go with protech's, good and they have a cheap option to get a 2nd set for a cost still lower than the oem for 1 set.

I have 2 that we bought off of Amazon that are free to a good home. They’re for the larger display. Strings may be attached regarding shipping if you’re in Central Kentucky come and get them

Just installed this screen protector from Amazon on my wife’s Sienna, Install was a breeze following their instructions took 5 minutes and fits perfect. $15.25 saved a boat load

I tried 2 screen protectors from Amazon with many very good reviews (4.6 or 4.8 I think). One was gloss, one matte. I returned both without actually installing them--I held it up to the factory screen that that told me all I needed to know. The gloss one had FAR more reflections than the factory screen. The matte one did as well, just fuzzier--plus the image is much softer. I am leaving it as is unless I hear of one that really works well and has the same anitreflective properties of the original.

Great banter folks but doesn't pertain to the question. This is for people who've installed the OEM screen protector themselves and how they did it.
