I wrestled with this. Would love to see photos. Got the anti-glare and hope it will be what I am imagining. I guess I can always take it off.

I installed the matte one yesterday. Here’s a before and after. This is in the garage next to a sunny window. Overall I like it. Need to live with it for awhile to really evaluate.

I got the extra's and my gauge cluster still has a bubble or 2 a month later that I'm on the verge of trying again. Main display had bubbles for about 3 days and eventually looked perfect. Get the kit for the 24 Tacoma that includes extra pieces to protect HVAC and transmission

on our tundra the protec MID screen took about 3-5 months for the bubbles to disappear. just forget about it and they will eventually disappear.

just make sure you over do the spray bottle water. on the first attempt i didnt spray enough, 2nd attempt i went overboard and the bubbles eventually disappeared.

Easy install? They offer a spare in case of install errors, curious if that's worth it.

Did you install the gauge cluster, climate controls, and shifter screen protectors as well? It's not listed on the 4Runner on the site but is part of the (identical) Tacoma kit.

i bought the full kit on our tundra, eventually removed all the extra's except for the 14in dispaly and the MID screen. the small ones never adhered correctly and really didnt do anything for the aesthetics.

Yes, helps a bit. It's a nice slightly rubbery texture, I like it. Not immune from fingerprints though.
