Same here, lights installed but then I saw that on some trims there's a switch to control the cargo area lights ...

I opened the trim where the switch is supposed to be ( on my limited wasn't included) and found a connector..

I suppose that it's ready to connect the switch's but wondering if anyone have done this in the past?

Any tips on how to remove the main D-pillar garnish?
I just gave it a shot and I can't get my fingers between edge and trim and pull (plus I feel like I'm gonna break something).
Should I start from the side? Top? Bottom? Any help would be appreciated

OK, I just finished with this mod. A bit of a pain with the clips but not too bad.

It's amazing how this is not stock from Toyota...without this lighting, the cargo area is totally useless.

One thing to note: be careful with those damn yellow clips. When removing the original garnishes, a few of the yellow clips remained in place and I had to pry them out manually, which took a bit of effort, but not impossible. I had a total of 5 yellow clips that needed to be pulled and on my very last one, the clip sprung like a rocket and flew God knows where, most likely into the abyss below. I was pretty mad at myself because I hate loose things, but I could not locate this final clip. Oh well. I took the truck for a spirited drive, making sharp turns listening carefully if I can hear something moving/rattling about from my rear left side, but I could not. Whew, for now, I guess. Praying it stays that way...if I have to go back there and fish for a yellow plastic clip, I'm going to be livid lol
