Odd rattle on driver's side - can't tell where it's from.
I played around with the acoustic hood liner incl. windshield wiper fluid hose and tried to dampen it with sticky automotive acoustic mat but it doesn't make the difference. Also tried to remove the triangle piece of plastic near the A-pillar: rattle still audible while driving.
I think it must be something in the interior somewhere. Either door, dashboard (I hope not) or maybe something near the OBD port, steering column area.

Ah man that sucks. Anything behind/inside the dash is a no-go for me. You’ll probably end up with more rattles after you put the dash back together.
Unfortunately Toyotas quality control for the 6Th gen leaves ALOT to be desired. I’m kinda bummed that the basics weren’t taken care of especially for how expensive these vehicles are. My old 2019 Jeep Cherokee had less rattles… and that’s really saying something.
Good news. I think I found the root-cause of the issue. It's the 'plastic/foam' acoustic shield that sits on top of the firewall.
I was tapping around everywhere in the engine bay and the rattle was awful when I hit it. Looked close and many washer nuts missing (I at least found 3 but there might be even more). Either Toyota forgot to put them on or they fall out over time.
I then moved some washers around to see if it can make the noise go away and then took it for a test drive. Rattle was gone!
To make it permanent I need to find either the plastic or metal washer nuts from Toyota or something from the Home Depot. The plastic one are crap imho since they come loose over time.
My question (see my pictures below), does someone know the stud size/pitch/thread so I can find a fitting replacement? The foam shield appears to use a mix out of these white and black studs which might have different sizes.

Great find on that fix! I’m having the exact same rattle, but I’m struggling to locate the specific spot on the firewall you’re referring to. Would you mind sharing a bit more detail or pointing out exactly where to look? Thanks for the help!

I think tighten them will help for a while (my 4Runner was quiet all day today). Probably longer term fix is to get real flange nuts. These current plastic discs are cheap and rattle loose over time
Do you think you're going to bring it to the dealership to have them address this permanently, or are you planning to just replace those plastic nuts with metal ones yourself?
I don't think the dealer will do much beside putting these plastic things back on. I bought for now a 20 pack of these plastic disc for $10 on eBay. I may live with that for a while but if it gets bad again then I buy some flange nuts and call it a day. Simple fix.
I personally never have luck with dealers addressing NVH issues. Next thing on my list is the door rattle when playing music with a lot of bass.
That's frustrating. I'm also dealing with a rattling clip in my side mirror housing; even after the dealer replaced the unit with a new one, the noise persists.
