I have been through these settings a few times and don't remember seeing this before but I could be incredibly wrong.

Silent is a stretch, but this does quiet it down a bit even on full blast.

I don't understand how it can be made silent. Does is just limit the airflow to low and very low? I mean it already has a low/medium/high. Extra low and extra extra low?

Good question. It's definitely doing something but still feels close to the same strength. I might do some more testing tomorrow.

This isn't exactly super scientific, but I think the gist is they must adjust the RPMs of the fan down even further with these "silent" settings. More so than just the 3 adjustments we already have with the button.

Level 3 on the button, "Normal" setting on Carista > ~59.8 dBA & ~73.4 F, coming from the driver seat.
Level 3 on the button, "Silent High" setting on Carista > ~57.5 dBA & 73.4 F, coming from the driver seat

Level 2 on the button, "Normal" setting on Carista > 56.1 dBA & ~73.4F, coming from the driver seat.
Level 2 on the button, "Silent High" setting on Carista > 54.1 dBA & ~73.4F, coming from driver seat.

Level 1 on the button, "Normal" setting on Carista > 54.1 dBA & ~73.4F, coming from driver seat.
Level 1 on the button, "Silent High" setting on Carista > 51.2 dBA & ~73.4F, coming from driver seat.

I had my main AC on Auto and set to 68 degrees. This does matter, when I had the AC off and ran the seats, the temps were closer to 84.6F coming from the driver seat.

Anyway, not sure this setting, or this post was helpful, but here we are.

a 2 db change in volume is barely noticeable (other environment sounds will negate this), 3 is the minimum usually to notice.

this is based on a quiet room, not a noisy environment like the inside of a vehicle.
