well she finally made it to portland toyota logisitcs berth location. she is now in the process of turning around to get the vehicle unload platform lined up to the pier with help from a 142t tug boat columbia and a 325t tug boat willamette.

it only took about 12-14 hrs to go from arrival outside the channel entrance to the pier mooring. with about 3-4 hrs of just sitting at the mouth of the channel and then the slow creep down to the pier mooring spot. the original projection was to be moored by 10 am local time on the 15-sep-25 but as we can see she finally arrived at 11:30 pm

they will start unloads in the mornings during daylight and pretty much spend all day unloading the vessel.

hopefully they can get it thru PIO processing fairly quick (i have about 7-9 PIO to be installed) and it can be loaded to a railcar by friday and moved out by the weekend or monday.
My processing started on the 14th. I have been able to track somewhat on the Toyota app what they do. I still have ETA for pick up 17-22.

Hopefully it will be done by this weekend. I have like 7 PIO to be installed also.

mine is still about 950 miles away from portland doing a rough guesstimate.

yeah forgot to order a new dashcam, i never re-use old ones since this one i have in the 14 4R is like ancient now. the protech i've used on the 23 tundra, dont even notice is anymore but you have to do the prep right though. the bottle they give you (just add water to the solution) is to go over board on the water application, especially on the driver display, the curve really is hard to squeeze the bubbles out and you wont get them all out. thats why you need the summer heat to dry the bubble out eventually (or use a micro fine small needle syringe to get the air out)

also have a AJT blue fob for the tundra, but it really doesnt match the tundra blueprint color. fits the heritage blue perfectly though.

probably go with my goto viofo brand and with this model

https://www.viofo.com/products/viof...-sony-starvis-2-sensor?variant=41716867760191

not sure if i want the 2 ch interior version or the 2 ch with 1 exterior camera
Just an FYI you may already know this, but if you are ordering the Screen Protech, order the one for the 24/25 Tacoma, that kit comes with additional film that covers the HVAC screens/knobs, headed seat buttons and shifter. Confirmed by several people on here that this kit fits the 6th Gen T4R perfect. Its same price as the 4R kit that only comes with the two display films. I saw a video of someone installing on a new Tacoma and it was amazing how scratched/swirled those parts had already got!

i did that for the 23 tundra protech kit, they just didnt work out for me so i am skipping them for the 4R.

didnt care for the fitment and what little they did cover and those area's are not high traffic spots so its kinda pointless in my view.

we rarely use the buttons on the head unit, mostly use the steering controls and the hvac buttons on the 23 tundra was kinda pointless since they are toggles (up/down)

and since the 4R has the same setup, not much benefit in my view. since the part you cover with the protech you are not even close to the toggle switches.

at least toyota learned from the new tundra to get rid of the gloss black center console overlays.

only the drive indicator is gloss black but the rest the area near the console is matte black.

23 tundra ... we had to find a special matte over lay to cover up that gloss black area around the shifter

here is the 4R center console setup, only glossy area is the shift indicators vs the tundra

Mine took like 3 days processing at port including PIO and 2 days for local delivery. Hopefully you will get an update soon!

That is a very long wait, but when you are behind the wheel you will nod to yourself and say 'worth every minute' - congrats!

not much different than when we did an allocation reserve request for our 23 tundra. it was originally a request for 22 tundra back in 4-may-2022 but it took so long that i had to redo the allocation reserve request for a 23 tundra. it was built 8-dec-2024 and we drove our 23 tundra off the lot on 22-feb-2023, which comes out to 9 months 18 days (294 days)

but it was worth the wait, its hard to beat paying invoice vs msrp, $62,758 vs $67,782

on this 4R, i put in our allocation reserve request on 13-dec-2024, it was built 22-aug-2025, shipped 3-sep-2025, arrive port 15-sep-2025 (actually 1130 hrs local time is when it got moored) and off-loaded on 16-sep-2025.

at this rate if it makes it to 13-oct-2025 it will have been 10 months exactly from request to delivery (303 days).

and for this 4R it will be the same, invoice of $63,114 vs $67,843
