  1. Hybrid vs Gas Long Term Value???

Toyota has to put clauses in like that for liability purposes but for all practicality you can put quite a bit more in the cargo area. The decreases space back there is true and I feel it when packing that thing full of camping supplies but thw last thing I am thinking about is the weight. I'm...
  2. Exterior MOLLE Panels compatible with stock Trailhunter Roof Rack

But it doesn't - the 3/4 roof rack rating of 165lb is limiting, why couldn't they spring for a full roof rack (Prinsu which is actually about the same price) which has double the dynamic rating. Was a let down for me, but beside that I love everything else about my TH.
  3. Tracking device on 4Runner Trailhunter

I've got tiles and apple trackers in all of my vehicles, is good to have and gives some peace of mind to see it is where I left it...
  4. Weather Tech vs. Lasfit Floor Mats Liners

Not sure of the differences, I had weathertec on my '22 Challenger and they were great. I have the lasfit for my 4R and Bronco and they are also very good, no complaints, fit perfect and much cheaper.
  5. 2025 Trailhunter First Trails (finally) & camping with iKamper Skycamp 3 RTT

I was very close to getting an awning and I will at some point. I got my tent and Prinsu rack done at rack attack in the raleigh area, they did a good job with that so I ordered the awning through them. Waited about 2 months for the parts to come in, drove out the 2 hours to the shop and an hour...
  6. 2025 Trailhunter First Trails (finally) & camping with iKamper Skycamp 3 RTT

iKamper Skycamp 3 - Got it because my son is 6'3" and I wanted us to be comfortable inside, truthfully we could easily fit a third adult.
  7. 2025 Trailhunter First Trails (finally) & camping with iKamper Skycamp 3 RTT

There has not been a noticeable drop, but maybe a negligible one. I swapped out the 3/4 ARB rack that came with it for a full length Prinsu standard rack, out of concern over the ARB's max dynamic weight rating. The ride is generally smooth all around but on bumpy roads you definitely feel the...
  8. 2025 Trailhunter First Trails (finally) & camping with iKamper Skycamp 3 RTT

Finally, got to take this baby out for a proper test. Went to the Badin Lake Recreation Area in Uwharrie. My TH is completely stock and it breezed through everything that I was brave enough to try (up to mid-moderate level) and didn't need to put in 4Hi or 4Lo at all. I believe the A-trac kicked...
  9. Lane Assist Oscillations

Same for me, usually turn it off unless I have a decently long hwy trip.
  10. Cali Raised Molle panels installed in cargo area

I cannot get the cargo cover to seat in the latch area, I can get one side in but I would need to bend it to the point where I would worry it would break to get both ends seated. This is the cover that came from Toyota and its possible an aftermarket version would be more plyable.
  11. Anyone have luck reaching out to ARK

No luck. My experience with Ark was terrible, the product was terrible and their support even worse. My opinion to avoid buying from them.
  12. Engine/Turbo reliability inquiry

My pleasure, this was just posted here today and I saw it for the first time a few hours ago. :)

  14. V6 engine recall. This is a bit concerning considering I just bought my first Toyota

I get the brake squeal rarely and usually after I come to a stop and continue it goes away. I don't know if it is as annoying as the people looking into getting a warranty repair on it. My mpg is abou 17-18 now after putting a Skycamp 3 on top, I knew it would drop some due to wind resistance...
  15. V6 engine recall. This is a bit concerning considering I just bought my first Toyota

I do too! ;). Have about 2700 miles on mine and no issues so far ...
  16. V6 engine recall. This is a bit concerning considering I just bought my first Toyota

Did you buy a 6g? I assume yes since this is a 6g forum, but if so is not a V6 engine so nothing to worry about? :)
  17. RTT recommendations for our new Trailhunter?

The DLX comes with the better mattress, I had to buy it aftermarket to go with my skycamp 3
  18. RTT recommendations for our new Trailhunter?

I got a Trailhunter in June, put on a Prinsu standard rack and an iKamper skycamp 2 - it is an awesome tent, setup/takedown in 5 mins or less. Recommend!
  19. Maybe a former Tundra owner soon to be 6th gen owner

Congrats and enjoy it - I know you will! :)
  20. Installation Instructions – Video or PDF?

I would like access to both. I had a bad experience with a drawer system install for my 4R and all that was provided was a terrible quality video where the parts in the video looked nothing like the actual parts. In that case I'd rather have the step by step pdf. For a video that is of the...
