So Now I understand, Yes the SRS gives warning if powered on without being connected to the overhead console (Vehicle powered while overhead console detached)

I really like the red light, its bright but doesn't blind you, Will be perfect I think for passengers needing lights on road trips

Are the white lights brighter than the stock OEM ones?

Meso lights seem to be too bright. I wish there was a diffuser or something, especially for the white lights. Red lights seem pretty bright too...

Thank you. I was able to install them today. I used a plastic pry tool to get the head unit console out. Ran into some issues with disconnecting the wires but was able to get it out with some patience and time

I highly recommend using a plastic pry tool to make your life easier. You can find some on Amazon for like $5. I also pulled down where the blue clippings are in this post linked below.

To disconnect the wiring harness, there is a small clip you need to push down to wiggle out the connection. Be patient here because the clip (for me) was actually really stubborn. I came close to giving up since I did not want to cause any wiring damage by pulling on the wiring harness too hard.

Also be patient with removing the trim from the console, use a flat head screwdriver here to push in the clippings (similar to above). You will still need to pull with some force. Good luck.

So 2 questions because i got the same meso dome light
1) are u just leaving the meso lights without a frame over them? I think it looks alright but would love if they made a double button frame/light cap to dim the white leds a bit…
2) did you have to drill a hole in the dome light housing for the rear too? How did you get the meso light to stay up there?
