Only way to get it to Toyotas attention is if we all get it documented. Atleast those of us who have the issue.

Ottaco - there's a video clip from C/G (that's me) in this thread that demonstrates what you're describing. I have posted the work that fixed my issue in other threads as well. There have been Members that have shared that by doing a demo for the Service Manager (not the guy or gal assigned to the work order) AND showing the SM the video (IMPORTANT) that the fix has resolved the problem for them. It has for me - it's been months and I've had no rattle issues with the volume pumped.Does anyone happen to have an audio clip (or video) demonstrating the rattle noise? Have developed one myself but having a hell of a time trying to pinpoint the area so want to see if similar sound
yes - I am HOPING thatâs the issue and fix - but wanted to see if anyone had any audio of the rattle before tearing my door panel apart (itâll be quicker for me to do it than visit the dealer)Ottaco - there's a video clip from C/G (that's me) in this thread that demonstrates what you're describing. Also - my personal concern is will I just create new rattles by doing it myself. But that's just me.yes - I am HOPING thatâs the issue and fix - but wanted to see if anyone had any audio of the rattle before tearing my door panel apart (itâll be quicker for me to do it than visit the dealer)
Or perhaps was there a way you could reproduce that noise at will without driving that I can test?
Hmmm... that sucks. Sounds like the panel needs to come off.I don't think it's the same source since I couldn't get any music to cause it (and I listen to a lot of BPM with heavy bass)
I might have to give this a shot, the rattle is rather annoying!IceCapRunner - I had a similar issue but only when I was listening to music with heavy base. I've posted about this on this forum. The video that the tech shot after doing the repair with a great explanation; adding foam/ padding inside the door - see video. It's been months since the repair and there are no more rattles. Others have thought that it was the B-pillar, taken it in for repair, showed the video, had the work done , and it solved the problem. If you do take the 4R to the dealer speak directly to the Service Manager - have them watch the video, demo if you can.

Thank you for sharing, I will be knocking this out.Hereâs a good thread with info on how to fix the rattle with pics and such:

Just did this a couple weeks ago myself after the dealer refused to address the issue without charging me $225/hr shop rate. Itâs an easy and cheap fix, if youâre not adding more sound deadening to the doors youâre looking at 30 minutes a door tops.
Thanks! Tempted to try this myself this weekend⊠but since itâs around -15° around here Iâll likely end up breaking some plastic. I have an appt with the dealer booked for next week so will see what they come back with first.Hereâs a good thread with info on how to fix the rattle with pics and such:
