Hi all:
I have a ‘25 TRD Sport Premium with a recurring metallic rattling noise coming from my sun/moonroof. It’s not a 24/7 noise, but no matter how fast I’m going, temperature, terrain, etc, the noise comes back on a regular basis.
I brought it back to the dealer and they said they lubed it and “adjusted how the glass sits”….????
But the noise was there the day it was returned to me.
The noise is also audible when I reach up and tap/push on the sun/moonroof glass.
Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated!!

Owned a few Toyota's and they all had moon roofs that rattled. I just stopped buying cars with moon roofs, for that reason and they take away headroom. Toyota has never been able to successfully fix one of my moonroof rattles. They would try something but it would eventully come back. I just gave up!

make sure to show the dealership that, so they can easily test to see if they have fixed it.
Yes, agree with this. Your dealer has already acknowledged that it's an issue so demonstrate again and expect them to fix it.

It's often a matter of part(s) moving and touching so can often be fixed by putting something like felt tape between the offending parts but given that it's a complicated system on a new vehicle you want to be sure that there's nothing wrong with the moonroof itself.
