Well I hope it works out, I went through something similar with a different car years back.

What I found out is the other insurers property damage will cover what they have coverage for; in my case they had 10k for property damage which was the minimum a couple of years ago.

Your insurance will usually take on the Full Repair of the vehicle and they will be reimbursed from the other parties insurance.

My insurance would not pay for the stigma and the resale value that you will lose trying to resell it because of the stigma that the car will always have showing that it was in a moderate to major accident.

There's a term for it but I can't remember some insurance companies will offset that and take that into the loss on the insurance claim.

If your insurance totals the vehicle you would be able to buy it back but it would come with a salvage title.

Good luck, something better will come your way.

I would take the money and run. Focus on the "real" market value for a Trailhunter in your area and fight the insurance to get as close to that amount. As others said, the title will be branded and the truck will be worth 10-20% less on trade-in, possibly more. The dealers in my area (NY) are crooks and will offer 50% with a bad CarFax. Plus the repair might not come out good and you are stuck. Just my opinion.

That sucks man!

I've got quite a few diagrams and part numbers...Could you be more specific on what part you're needing?
