Good evening friends,

Is there any chance anyone can share some photos of their hybrid rear storage compartments opened up, preferably with a rough measurement of how deep they are or something in the photo for size comparison?

Im in process of having some custom compartments made for my gen 6 on order but im worried im over or under designing the bags being made and want to utilize the full available space in the storage compartments.

A simple few photos of the compartments would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

lol i was thinking, you have a 2026 in your profile next to the post, but then read your signature and you dont have it yet.

might want to specify that in the post to clear it up.

and you dont need to have pics, the storage in the hybrid is woefully lacking no matter what, only 2 strips of storage about 4ft length, maybe 3-4 inches wide and maybe 2-3 inches deep. and there is no baffles to keep stuff from rolling around in those channels.

if you need storage go with a gas version without 3rd row, period.

there is a post where someone removed the 2nd row and install a storage deck system in the back for a lot of storage in a gas only 4R

I've got so many photos but none that really addressed your question so had a few minutes on the way out this morning and took these....
Tape measure at edge of the cover that pops off. Cover is 43" wide.

inside space is about 42" wide. Maybe 7" front to back and 4-5" deep? (that back plastic slopes down a bit in the back and the bottom is curved up to the lip.

Its a good safe place for the come-a-long (pending distant future winch), an umbrella, wolfbox compressor and few other things. Generally can lift the cover to reach in an take things out even when loaded (unless really loaded). The storage space in front of the hybrid battery is more of a pain to get to I think I have some jumper cables in there. May put recovery gear in there that I only need in extreme situations? In any event the rear storage area is great - does not nearly make up for what is lost to the battery - but useful.

Pretty much how mine looks, I keep my extinguisher in the compartment behind the rear seat in the event I cant get the rear hatch open, its still accessible

Are you able to also measure the storage compartment on the other side of the battery near the rear seats? also can you measure how deep the storage is? i assume its about 6 - 8"?

I think the front storage area in front of the battery is just about the same size - maybe a bit less front to back (5-6" instead of 7ish?). The depth of both is about the same: ~5"at deepest spot.

I would definitely like to buy that entire interior. Side panels and floor so I could have that storage.

Someone in another thread mentioned this fits the rear space well. https://www.thelogox.com/products/carryox-gear-bag

I am looking around for a cheaper duffel bag that fits. Might make something out of cardboard would be a cheap solution to cram more in.
This bag is too short, at only 30", where the location we have is 42". I emailed them to see if they would make a 40" version and have yet to receive a reply.

I'm interested in buying something for the two areas, as I've not been able to come up with a solution. Please keep us updated as to how you progress!

Not quite 40”, but have you considered something like a tripod or speaker stand bag? Similar to this:

This is a great idea. I’m personally loving the extra storage. Great for some straps, my baby compressor, my jumpstarter pack, and leashes
