Tried browsing around but mostly were applications for mountain bikes. I'm looking at these two below, preferably with a swing-away, so, leaning towards the Yakima. I like the 1up and a few others out there as well, but doesn't seem as practical. I mostly do road biking (2 bikes max), and ideally would like to carry 2 additional bikes for the kids. Any recs would be much appreciated! Just want something reliable/durable, I guess that'll accommodate the fam. Thanks in advance.

Hollywood Racks (I'll have to look for a swing arm, but this seems a bit overkill plus large as well)

What did you end up buying? I'm late to this thread (only recently purchased my 4Runner) but I just added my 2 cents re: Saris racks here: https://www.4runner6g.com/forum/thr...-your-setups-recommendations.2851/post-129445

Nice man! Looks good. I'll have to check that out some more as well as an option. I'm still torn lol, haven't gotten anything but soon. I was last looking at the 4-bike from Hollywood Racks off Amazon. Might re-consider a tow hitch hanging rack since most of our trips our short for biking, or most of the time it's just gonna be 1-2 road bikes. Decisions, decisions... ugh. Just need something for my road bike, and occasional kids'/wife's bikes.

Decisions indeed! Your needs are almost exactly like mine. Usually short drive with 1-2 road bikes or sometimes 4 MTB; once a year road trip to Northern Michigan with an array of bikes -- big family so we now take two vehicles each with a 4-bike rack*

Again, I like the Saris for its flexibility w/different sizes/styles of bikes and the 4-bike profile is almost as short as a 2-bike rack from 1UP or many others. And I like platform style (vs. hanging) because of the security and no need for frame or wheel contact (only tires touch the rack).

Good luck!

*I found this from like 10 years ago before we got a second Saris and started driving two vehicles. Whoa--bottomed out a couple times LOL. Note that's the older generation of SuperClamp (plus a couple Yakima roof racks); the newer one which we also have is: https://saris.com/products/superclamp-ex-4-bike
