Do you have to remove it to replace the oil filter?

For a little more $ you can get a heavier duty steel skid from RCI.

It appears the hardware to keep it in place uses carriage, allen or similar domed head type. Smart move.
I have seen installations using standard octagonal headed bolts.
Ooops when it drags on a solid surface.

I purchased the Land Cruiser skid plate from Springhill Toyota and it installed nicely.

I got lucky and found a brand new Trailhunter front skid plate on FB Marketplace today for $200 cash. Bolted right up to my TRD ORP. That sucker is heavy and solid so definitely feel more secure in Colorado in the rocky trails.

Do you know if #PTR60-89190 will fit? I coulda sworn when I searched this months ago, this was the part to get, but all of a sudden results are mainly showing the part number you mentioned. I also could've sworn despite the one I mentioned ending in 89190 was meant for Tacomas, it would still fit. But now there's a 4Runner one (yours), that costs way more.
