There used to be a sizable delta between “normal” synthetics and Amsoil/Royal purple.
The GTL base oils (Pennzoil Platinum) are quite good. Costco/Supertech meet the GF-7 standards.
If you’re running a shorter interval, it doesn’t matter much.
I bought a full size 2025 Tacoma spare wheel/tire this week for this purpose. It was $100 at a Scrap yard.
If you’ll get the Tacoma steel wheel part number and search it on google, you’ll find one is about $100 new if you want to go that route. I found the used ones were more, for some reason.
My last vehicle had K03’s. They were very good in snow and ice. They were moderate in wet conditions. It is a superb off road tire.
They were also a heavier tire, I had K02’s in a “C” load rating.
