Hi all - I recently did a setup with dual rough country fogs so I could run white and yellow fog options. Functions and looks like I wanted, but the lighting power is falling short of expectations. Guessing it has something to do with running Ss3 maxes on my last Bronco. Also realizing that it might be dumb to only use half of my output at any given time. I have the whites on the oem fog switch and yellows on AUX 2 so I can select which run.

Is anyone using the new diode dynamics ss6 fog kit? If so, are you happy with the power increase? Did you go white or yellow, and are you happy with that choice? Seems all the cool kids go yellow. I think the new lights are easy to swap (like the old) but even use the same diodes now maybe. My Ss3s were yellow so they made EVERYTHING yellow, thinking that’s why I’m scared to love yellow again. If I make the change I’ll swap the rough country bar out for a ss20 eventually.

I don't have direct experience with any of the lights you're mentioning but one thing I've learned, Baja Designs never lets me down. I contemplated saving a little money going with other brands but ultimately just followed my gut and did all BD. Zero regrets, would do it again, etc. I drive dark country roads often, it rains in Oregon, windshield is tinted, and I have no lighting complaints. Might be worth looking at for your application as well.

if you want the full power output but the ability to switchback the fogs, why didnt you pick up the rigid fogs for the 6th gen?

they do white/yellow in 1 housing and you get the full output also.

standard on the trailhunter and optional on the trd pro (i think)

I thought about it but wasn’t sure if they were worth it for the $$$$. I’m also concerned how ways the white/yellow selection switch would be to wire. I found some info on the Tacoma sites but it required some latched relay work.
It was also kind of fun to figure out the 3D printing and trim ring that I wanted. I was happy with the look but ended up pulling them off. Not sure what I’ll do at this point.

I just ordered the Alpharex fog lights that are switchback. You can choose between white and yellow by toggling the switch. They also double as turn signals. They come with a tap that piggybacks off of the existing wiring. No cutting or splicing

Can you let me know if you love them please? I keep eye balling them but haven't bitten the bullet. If they aren't the answer then I might go with the Diode Dynamic SS6s. Although Twisted's Baja set up looks freaking amazing.
