That is the wiring coming out of the CanM8 unit. Those are not the concern. We need to know what wires on the 4Runner have the signal we are looking for to go into the CanM8 unit. Basically need to know what wire to connect the white CanM8 and blue CanM8 wires to.

Something isn't right in that situation. I open mine all the time while the vehicle is running. Sometimes from the dash button, sometimes with the actual button on the hatch, but I do it often.
