I don't have direct experience with any of the lights you're mentioning but one thing I've learned, Baja Designs never lets me down. I contemplated saving a little money going with other brands but ultimately just followed my gut and did all BD. Zero regrets, would do it again, etc. I drive dark...
That is the wiring coming out of the CanM8 unit. Those are not the concern. We need to know what wires on the 4Runner have the signal we are looking for to go into the CanM8 unit.
Basically need to know what wire to connect the white CanM8 and blue CanM8 wires to.
The problem is not the 12v output from the CanM8 system. The problem is finding out which factory wire on the 4Runner carries the digital canbus signal triggering the high beams to come on. Once we know what wire that is I can tap into it with the CanM8 system to get the needed 12v output from...
Not yet and ironically I just got home from a dark drive in the deer filled mountains realizing how much I want it to work.
on the phone so can’t find the exact device but I did order some $100 canbus signal reader that the Tundra guys have been using. I tried to install once using the same...
Something isn't right in that situation. I open mine all the time while the vehicle is running. Sometimes from the dash button, sometimes with the actual button on the hatch, but I do it often.
Find a friend who has already done it once to help. There is a lot of time spent just looking at how to take it apart. Once you've done it you can do it much faster the second time. It took 4 or 5 hours for me to do mine by myself but I also did the lower grille, added the lightbar, swapped out...
I did the Baja Design S2's but didn't use their direct fit kit. I bought the lights standalone and used the Westcott mount. Gives it a much cleaner and more finished off look. You can order the Baja Design Y harness to make life simple and then make your own conversion harness to plug directly...
I had a full length Prinsu on my 5th gen and absolutely loved it. For the 5th gen I'm convinced it is the best looking option. After looking at many full length racks of a few different brands on the 6th gen they just don't look right to my eye. The slope of the roof from the windshield to...
Mine were very loud with the moonroof even cracked open. I always thought it was the moonroof itself until I removed the crossbars in preparation for the trailhunter rack and it was silent even on the freeway.
Fun fact that I haven't seen mentioned. With the moonroof cracked at the rear you get...
One thing I've learned about dash cams over the last 10 years is that all the ones with positive reviews paid reviewers for such with product or money. All the negative reviews tend to be the honest ones.
I want/need one but just can't find one worth a crap. I went and bought a Garmin a couple...
