Since taking delivery of my ORP last week, I've only found one thing that I really don't like and its fairly minor, the switch for the rear window. It has an auto function, but there's no double click to actuate it like on the door windows. This is annoying for me since I don't want to roll it down all the way and risk my dog jumping out the back. I have to play a timing game to get it to stop where I want it to and it's annoying when I don't get it on the first try.

Also, with it being on the ceiling it would make more sense to me for the directions to be reversed, push the switch up to roll the window up and pull the switch down to roll the window down, but its the same direction as the door windows. If the window switch has separate wires for the up and down signal that could be a straightforward mod.

I think it should be the other way around myself, seems weird pushing up to lower it and pull down to close it. With it having the gate lock out wired into it I'm not sure it would be a simple wire switch. I'll let someone else check that out.

I also think it should beep when it's all the way down and all the way up. I have to keep switching my mirror view to tell where it's at.

My wife thinks (knows) I’m crazy because I can’t help but mention how backwards this switch is at least every other time we use it. Like I get that they didn’t want to further customize it so that up was up and down was down but c’mon man.

Yes, I felt the same way at first. However, this is my fourth 4Runner and each one had it's own method and location for rolling down that back window. I found that (eventually) I was able to adjust to change and now it's not a big deal.

you want the switch to behave logically ?
(right now it behaves like a regular window switch
but being on the ceiling I found that annoying)

open up the map light bay and modify connecter X1 leads
or flip pins (or cut/solder/shrink). If you want to move the pins themselves
you will need an SST as the lance retainer access hole is extremely small

swap sky blue with pink
21 sky blue - down
22 pink - up

Same. I do it wrong 100% of the time.
