Don't shoot me, I am just the messenger.

They used a TRD Pro for the video.

OK, check this out fellow 6th Gen'ers. Edmunds hates the 6th Gen 4Runner. Rates it worse than the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Honda Passport (which they rated the best).

Start at the 5:27 mark which starts the entire last half for the video with all the stuff they hate about the 6th gen 4Runner:

"Clearly we have issues with the way the 4Runner drives"
"It isn't all that practical"
"It's too small on the interior. A 5' 2" passenger told me she felt cramped in the front seat and it's no better in the second row"
"A 6' 4" driver said that no matter what he did, his head was firmly planted against the headliner, so taller drivers need not apply"
"rear door openings are too small to easily load a car seat"
"Back cargo area is too high so it's hard to lift heavy cargo into the back"
"The running boards they bought are too hard to use"
"The ride is too stiff and the steering is too wobbly"
"The 4Runner is not pleasant or easy to drive"
"rear visibility is terrible making the digital rear view a necessary evil. Horrible blind spot, I almost hit a cyclist"
"A 5' 5" driver with the seat 'maxed out' still can't see over the hood, how am I supposed to dominate the road if I can't see it"
"The sun glare off the 4Runner hood is horrible, even with sunglasses I had to put my hand up to block the hood glare, so I'd have to get a matte vinyl coating"
"The new Hybrid 4 cylinder turbo powertrain makes enough power for day-to-day driving but we're not fans because of how unrefined it felt"
"First thing I noticed when driving the 4Runner is how incredibly slow the steering is at slow speeds, I had to turn the steering wheel like four times just to get into a parking space. A quick 3-point turn is super annoying in the 4Runner"
"The noises coming from this SUV are pretty unpleasant"
"The TRD Pro sport exhaust sounds terrible"
"If the noise doesn't bother you, the MPG will"
"The other trims all had most of the same problems"
"Off road we don't recommend because other manufacturers give you that same capabilities without the compromises"
"It looks awesome and pretty good on a trail, but what doomed this vehicle was it did not ride like we expected and it looks like a tank and it rides so poorly that you feel like you're being punished."
"We gave the 4RUnner a 6.5/10 which put it sixth place out of 12 for our 2-row SUV rankings"

Saw that video last night. Clearly the wrong demographic for the 4Runner

If you decide to watch it just keep the following in mind:
“I absolutely love avocado toast”
“Do you have vegan options”
"It's too masculine"

I just read the post and didn't even bother with the video.
At about 5"9-5"10 myself, I find the driver's area to have plenty of room.
Perhaps their test drivers were extra wide?
I mean no disrespect, but seriously, there's plenty of room and seat adjustability.
Wobbly steering? Ummmm......okay... I think NOT!
I just CAN'T EVEN with this review.

Obviously Stellantis and Honda contributed for a more favorable review
Consumer Reports did a similar hatchet job. Then what else would you expect from them.
They even claimed people in the rear seat were "tossed around".

Then again who takes either of those rags seriously.

Didn't watch the movie but who cares. They shredded the 5th Gen too. They complain about things that have nothing to do with being a 4Runner and fail to mention the qualities that make it a 4Runner. Seems like lots of journalists may not be qualified to even comment about trucks.

I will complain about toyota in general about headroom. I downgraded my trim because I could not find a offroad premium without a moonroof. My head touches the headliner with the moonroof. I am long waisted 6ft 2. I do believe the headroom is exactly the same in my wife's lexus 2024 nx350 and sons 2007 rav4

Edmonds has a habit of taking a purpose-built vehicle and not like it for the smallest of reasons. I saw that video and posted several replies to it, in other words they don't know what they're talking about. I've had my Trail Hunter coming up on 2 years now and the last thing I ever thought about was that it rides rough. Good grief it's a body on frame four-wheel drive, and they're comparing it to a Honda passport? They don't have any credibility.

When you want an Escalade and get a real 4WD instead..... This is right along the lines of the "Torque News" articles that always bash 4Runners. Media is so corrupt in general these days
