Am I the only one who thought of this and my God as a hybrid as well how awesome would that be? I heard rumblings that that might be a possibility in the future. but more than likely that just wishful thinking.

v6 are reserved for lexus outside the big toyota vehicles like the tundra and sequoia.

even the lowly lexus rx is going back to a v6 engine if i remember correctly.

Well motor swaps are normal in my early bronco. Coyotes and now the 7.3 godzilla and diesels and I understand it’s easier for an older vehicle. Oh man if somebody made a swap kit down the road

You can thank the US government pushing fuel mileage standards. As long as companies need to meet an average mpg for all of their vehicles you can expect smaller engines in the future. I'm not really sure Toyota would want to give the 4Runner almost 450hp stock. My guess is a lot of people who bought one would find themselves upside down in a ditch.

The 4 cylinder is pretty great after driving it for 5k miles, big mountains, altitude, off roading. You can either keep dreaming about the V6 in a 4R or buy a GX.

What exactly are you missing that cant be tackled by the OTT tune? Do you really think over 600hp would even be usable?

Do a motor swap... deep pockets anything is possible. Especially because all the needed parts are already on the Lexus GX, find a junk yard motor etc and make it happen. The new Tundra is getting a raptor figher so could they make a 4Runner fighter for the Bronco Raptor? Maybe
