I have a 5 year old Weimaraner and my 6th gen TRD ORP sits too high for her to jump in and out of.

I've been looking at those doggie hitch steps. Those that have them, does your dog actually use them ?

I have one and use it all the time. My dog is over 100 pounds and I don't want him jumping up or down from a height as high as a vehicle onto hard surfaces. You might have to do a little treat training to get your dog using it but it shouldn't take much.

I’m just here to say Weimaraner gang unite! have two but have zero worry about them getting in as they are super athletic. I do have two other senior boxers that will need help and looking at what steps people are recommending.

This one looks good but damn $95 for a plastic step. https://a.co/d/9IZI46D

thanks for the link. These are all ridiculously expensive and thats the least expensive one ive seen and is probably good enough considering it won't be a daily use item.

On my 5th gen TE 4runner I let her jump in and out, but I think the 6th gen TRD ORP sits higher, and at the age of 5 I think its time for her to start taking it easy on that type of jumping, its an activity thats just going to lead to health issues.

Weims are the best. This is my second one and she is just as amazing as the first one.

I have this one for my 105lb old labrador to get into my trailhunter. I needed to add a 6" drop/rise hitch adapter because the TH is very high and the step is otherwise straight out from the hitch. The benefit of this thing is that it doesn't take up the whole cargo area like some solutions.

I found a used one here for $45 that I am picking up tomorrow to see how it works. I do have a drop/riser but really hoping I don't need to use it because of the weight (and don't want to leave the riser on permanently). With 4 dogs, someone is in the back most of the time I drive.
